Well if your looking for the new 3E 'Defender of the Faith' book there are some sections on the WotC site but it's new and not up anywhere for free that I know of. There are many sites with rules from the 3E PHB, none can legally have everything but you can peice things together. Here are some of the best.

I hope that helps a little but I still suggest you buy the PHB it's only $20 bucks and well worth it. Let me know if you have any questions.

You may think that the Dnd rule books ar expensive but there are other roleplaying games that are far worse

Most of the RPG books I seen and/or bought were around $20. They range from $15 to $25. I don't think I've ever seen a single book for more than $30. What system are you buying for? And what were you buying?

Star Wars the problem is that the expantion books repeated all of hte same states for all of the charictors over and over agian withe no new rules and few real additions.

Are you talking about the old or new Star Wars game. I have the old Star Wars PHB about $20 but it was rather lame. I won't spend anymore on that system. I heard the new D20 system is a lot better but I've lost interest. To busy playing other systems.

have the second editon. The only advantage I could say is that you didn't have to keep track of the number ofsides the dice had.

Thanx for those links Voltric, I have been searching the net for days to find a good site where I can find the AD&D rules (now I can finally learn the pen&paper game)

My pleasure. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to bring a new person into the fold of table top gaming.
