Ever since installing ToB, i'm having issues with people who seem to be busy whenever i try to initiate a dialogue. Mostly i can bypass it by leaving the area, go back, and try again. But trying to talk to Cernd, in his prisoncell in Trademeet appears to be impossible. Does anyone have any idea what's causing this ? Is it a common bug after installing ToB, cause it never happened before i installed it.

If yes, is there a patch that fixes this ?

Rather silly innit ? Trying to talk with someone in solitairy detention, and he's too busy with something..... :rolleyes:

Common bug with windows XP. Install the latest patch for ToB and you should be just peachy.

I've had a few annoyances as well, including the game crashing everytime I try to leave the Plane after the Second challenge in ToB, and the inability to get any of my custom portraits to show up for SoA. Actually, the game would crash whenever I tried to return my fighter character Kilik to Watcher's Keep after having Cespenar put together Montolio's Cloak for Valygar. For the one I mentioned above, it would actually just freeze.

I've got quite a bug with TOB as well... Ever since installig it again, my BG2 won't start up. Has anyone encountered this before? It works fine w/o TOB, but when it's installed it just locks down. No Mods installed.

@Death Whisper

Is it restarting automatically? If so, you probably have Windows set to auto-reboot when it encounters a critical error. If you turn that off, you may find that you crash to the desktop instead. You don't, by any chance, have a VIA motherboard, do you?

Are you running Windows 98?
