My solo assassin is having some troubles against Improved Illasera, and I need some help.

My strategy so far has been to cast Absolute Immunity before the battle (only have time for 1 spell on my saves) then when the battle begins I cast Improved Aclarity then Timestop, then a few lower resistance on Illasera. After that I dont know what to do, because whichever spell I cast on her she doesent die (I dont have acsess to Imprisonment). What should I do? The last time I casted simuclarum, ran away, cast Tensers Transformation and then I tried casting Slayerchange: Ravager, but first the game doesent recognize it and suddenly the game crashed.

Should I perhaps cast Absolute Immunity, then Imp Aclarity--timestop and then just sneak attack her either from hiding or use assassination?

Any suggestions?

What I would recommend is casting Mislead, hiding your clone buddy, then cast Spell Immunity:Divination. This way you can continue to backstab Illasera during the Time Stop and you'll probably have time to spare if you string two Time Stops together (scroll might be needed, I don't know what lvl you're at).

After that, those chumps she calls a party will die pretty quick. You might even try a little cat & mouse fun with them (you are an assassin after all.)

Actualy I killed her yesterday by using timestop then assassination and then chopping the **** out of her. All her companions left immediatly, so I couldnt have any fun with them. Right now Im having some troubles in my pocket plane, with the first room. I didnt get immunity to normal weapons in hell (why? should I do it again? because I want it) So those bastard elven archers shoot the **** out of me, and always disrupts my spells. Ive only tried once, so I bet I will find a solution

I would recomend the third level spell: Protection from Normal Missiles (Or whaterver its called), as many summoned creatures as possible to draw their fire, and a lot of fireballs.

Didnt work, their missiles were magical, but I overcame that by changing into the Ravager. Im thinking of making a dualed thief/kensai now, I get the thief up to be able to get "use all items" and perhaps a few "assassination"s then dual to kensai. Pure killing mashine.

Why just don't go with a Kensai/Thief? Even in a solo game you won't have much fun with a Thief/Kensai the way you describe him. Besides, whithout Shadow Keeper you can't duall into a kit.

Well I just happend to have SK.

But I probably wont make a new character, I only enjoy making characters but when it comes the the actual game itself I just loose my enthusiasm

I don't think the Improved Illasera is worth the effort. Have you ever checked what effects her always hitting arrows have? Or should I say: does not have... :nolike:

@ Bahir the Red

Just get to the Watchers Keep next; everything else is pretty much the regular hack'n'slash...

Having a character stay on top of her with the Shield of Reflection works wonders, as does bringing up a creature that can see past her 'going ethereal', like a Deva or an Elemental Prince.

^^^ That's how I beat her for my review of Ascension. I think my character was a Berserker/Cleric (I can't remember exactly.) and I just followed her as closely as possible with the Boots of Speed and Improved Haste. Also I kept all my characters off the the north-west because she never seems to go up there.
