OK I know I asked it before but this time I will start a new game and I really really want to try Imoen's romance found at www.imoen.org (http://www.imoen.org) but I have lots of worries and questions:

1)What should I install? Imoen's romance (full) v1.2 and then its patch v1.201? The site says that ToB is 'not yet' so romance will not continue in ToB?

2)I have as many mods as that is. I have Tactics, Imp.Battles, Ascension, EoU, Item Upgrade, Sola, Kelsey, unfinished business, oversight, banterpacks, flirtpacks, questpack, G3 tweaks, safe XP cap disabler, herbs, turnabout, true grandmastery, robe of vecna tweak and many, many more little tweaks and patches I am yet to remember now. :eek: I also have the latest patch. I do not have any troubles with the game right now I finished the game from SOA to Ascension and did not see a single bug, so I did installing all of these succesfuly! (and I am proud of that! My BG2 rocks!) Can I install Immy's romance on top of these or should I uninstall ALL of them and install in some other order? (ugh the mere thought makes me sick :( )

3)Are there serious bugs in the romance that would require editing files, downloading stuff, uninstalling-reinstalling mods etc? I heard there are! I am scared! What if all will be nothing with Imoen because of a bug?

4)Lastly, I heard Immy will not romance if PC already has a romance. So what should I do with Jaheira? I want to keep her but should I just dump her or end her romance abrubtly for the sake of Immy? (BTW I like the rewards of Jaheira romance.)

If Imoen romance is not compatible with my current mod-heavy game, I guess I will have to take a male PC and Aerie, Jaheira, Viconia, Solafein, and maybe Anomen (ugh) and romance ALL of them to sate my lust :D (via concurrent romances and all) I know the party will suck hard bur romance everywhere!!! :hippy: (make love, not war!)

PS:Please, I hope nobody is offended because of Imoen romance and my idea of full-romance party, multiple romances, and all those bisexual romances with Sola and Anomen etc. etc. it is only a game OK? Take it easy! Have fun! :wave:

1) If v1.2 and a 1.201 patch is the latest they've got, then that's what you should install.

2) If it's WeiDU, I think you can go right ahead with the install on top of everything else. If it's not...things will get complicated.

3) Presumably the patch takes care of that, but I'd take a look at the Readme to make sure. They do write those for a reason, after all. ;)

4) Based on the documentation, I'd say that concurrent will get you either everyone except Imoen, or just Imoen. You don't have to be in any rush to rescue Imoen though, so if you want you could just make sure you've dashed all other romances before you go to pick her up.

P.S. Actually, I'm waiting for the Adennyd NPC mod to come out so that I can romance Jaheira while Chloe romances Imoen and Adennyd romances Minsc. We'll all be one happy horny family. :grin:

Anyway thanks for the reply, so I can romance Jaheira, finish her romance, get the reward, and then dump her to end romance and still start Imown romance? My, but that is..so bastardly..and heart-breaking! :cry: I thought if you even start a romance with anyone, Immy, being the gentle girl she is, will not even think about initiating her romance. Am I wrong? Can anyone correct this?

BTW I do not know the romance is Weidu or not, but I think it is not. I am far away from my home and computer and BG2 so I can not try. Can anyone also correct this? If it is non-weidu I think I will not be able to install it properly???

I had to search for it, but Mirraboo did use WeiDu for Imoen. It's compatible with most mods. Here's a list of what it's been tested with:

* If it's the first time you play Imoen's romance I'd recommend that you didn't use DBG so you can get everything normally. If you've played more than once, feel free to use it... if you do, you will only be missing the little comment from Imoen about Khalid if Jaheira isn't in party. When you are taken to the exit by Jasper, wait a little until the first dialogue triggers; after having that, walk some steps away from the exit and the second should trigger too. It has been tested countless times, so there shouldn't be any problem.There's a bit about Tortured Souls mod, but I don't remember you saying you played it. Hope this helps and there's more info in the readme.

Out of curiosity, do you have enough time to romance Jaheira and Imoen? I thought Jaheira took a really long time (real time and game time) to complete, especially Terminsel.

^Well I finished it once before going to Improved Asylum so I think I can do it again. I have some mod that hastes romances. I even encountered some minor loops in her romance and Harpers did not appear etc. Strangely, whenever I visited Temple District, her romance was triggered immediately ie:Hostile harpers come and Terminsel makes his final visit. Odd, don'T you think?

BUT, if I romance Jaheira and then break it, can I romance Immy as well? I heard that there are some dream sequences and they would not show up at all if PC has an active romance? Curious! I do not want to play the whole game and not be able to romance Immy.

And BTW, if I remember correctly I do not have Tortures Souls. :) It is so hard to remember all those cool mods sometimes you know?

I think if you ruin the romance by saying something wrong in one of the last LoveTalks with Jaheira, you should be okay. But if you miss that opportunity (or simply can't bring yourself to do it :heh: ), you can "ruin" it with this command:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","GLOBAL",3)

But if I were you, I'd blow Jaheira off as soon as possible just to make sure. You never know if they got clever and inserted something into the other romances somewhere to pre-emptively ruin Imoen's romance if you got too far. Doubtful, but I still wouldn't take the risk.

EDIT: Yep, what Western Paladin suggests will work very well, and as a bonus, you get a shorter non-romance track of banters with Jaheira that you don't get if you're romancing her. Nice catch, WP! :thumb:

Maybe you could also use:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraMatch","GLOBAL",0)

right at the beginning of the game. If you do that immediately, I think the romance would never start (Felinoid or someone else who knows, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

Big thanks for the tip, but can someone guarantee that Imoen romance will work bug-free and I will have a happy romance with her if I dump every other lady in favour of cute Immy? (as long as I choose right things to do, sure enough.) I do not want the romance end abruptly, or get stuck, or even worse, never starting because of a stupid bug!

I would rather romance Jaheira(and have her re-union with Khalid thanks to Turnabout. It sure will be much interesting!) and Viccy (and try to redeem her to the light! If I can do it it will be something I would be proud of!) if it will be too buggy. Can someone confirm this?

I hate to be a let-down, but the only way to find out is to play it your way, Silverstar. I believe Jesper mentioned playing the Imoen mod in another thread, so he/she might be of more help. It doesn't sound good though. :( TBH, I find one romance to be what I can handle.

I've not had any bug trouble with it. I'll make no guarantees, but it should be fine.

So I should make a test-play of Imoen romance and fore-go everything else? What if all for nothing?

Tested it, three times in fact, and based on these runs I can say the following (you should know these if you have read my previous replies):

2) Risky, I'd say. Not only with Imoen Romance, but in overall.

3) There are bugs and then there are strange event-triggers that make you almost think you have found a new bug. If you miss one event, the romance is foiled. If there is a bug, the romance is foiled. Give a wrong answer and the romance is foiled. And the best thing is that you can tell surely only once you are knocking the doors of Suldanesellar.

4) If you intend to romance Imoen, you must turn down all other suitors (even if it roleplay-wise feels ridicilous). The dialogs just don't appear if you have a romance in progress.

So, to repeat myself; I can't recommend this mod for you. Had the design been better, I would had forgiven all bugs and stuff, but in it's current version it's still C-quality.

Agh I am so sorry Imoen, but I can play the game very rarely that is, I can visit my home only 2 weekends per month at most, and when I have the chance to play I really ''really'' don't want to fight with all kinds bugs, loops, and so on. Maybe when I have much more time...OK?

PS:No matter what, my all-time favourite NPC, is Imoen! I simply can not think a party without her!

Know what you mean and she definitely deserves a better mod than that. ;)
