OK, I'm a day early on this one, but tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and I probably won't log on, so a day early it is.

We are down to the semifinals, with the remaining four contestants:

Nalia advanced through the mage/thief bracket.

Cernd advanced through the druid/ranger bracket.

Mazzy advanced through the fighter bracket.

Anomen advanced through the cleric/misfit bracket.

So the semi-finals will pit Nalia vs. Cernd, and Mazzy vs. Anomen.

This is going to get a lot tougher, as we now have a group of characters people really don't like. Interestingly enough, none of the evil characters have advanced through to this round, considering the voting on this forum (Shura a noteworty exception) usually tends to favor good aligned characters.

Comments as always, are appreciated...

Early in the running, but I am in the minority. I loathe Nalia and find Anomen more useful than Mazzy. Others seem to disagree.

This is easy. Nalia and Anomen in the finals.

I thought Cernd was actually going to beat Nalia.

Oh well.

The only sure-fire pick for me was Mazzy. And I hated having to vote for Cernd as least fav as he is one of my more favorite NPCs. Between him and my girl Nalia, though, Cernd gets the vote (albeit begrudgingly).

I have to pick mazzy since I don't know her as well as Anomen, I don't think Anomen's personality is that bad actually later on in the game he get's less arogant and develops an interesting personality (still an annoying voice pack though)

And I don't know either Cernd or Nalia well so I picked Cernd

I voted off Nalia simply because she's a better NPC overall IMO, and Mazzy since I just can't stand LN/CN Anomen.

I have never preferred Nalia. The other three are excellent. I was hesitating between Anomen and Mazzy, and finally - considering Anomen's +2 wisdom bonus - I decided to choose Anomen.

Difficult choises...

Nalia -I hate Cernd only because of his warcries and annoying voice, whereas Nalia is naîve.

Mazzy -could had been either one, but I chose Mazzy only because I think she might be even more pompous than Anomen is. Pff. :rolleyes:

I'm shocked that the Mazzy-Anomen poll is so close. Maybe all the Anomen haters out there are just more vocal, and may only represent a slight majority.

Im suprised Mazzy is such a disliked character! Sure she isn't such a usefull character but shes a better/nicer/cooler character than Anomen and Nalia and Valygar, I am new to these boards and that character population related threads are quite startling to me! :eek:

If it weren't for her "How are we helping the poor ... :mad: " line Nalia could be tolerated as a versatile spellcaster.
Cernd just sucks. Get a voice man!

Mazzy v/s Anomen : Mazzy
A pure-class fighter who stays at the BACK with the spellcasters !! And that low HP runt (when I found her she had as many HP as Jan!) has a mouth totally disproportionate to her size.
Atleast AnnoyMan keeps his mouth shut most of the time.

People are starting to forget that this is not a satistical comparison contest but is based on personality. Frankly I think Annoyingman should be whooping Mazzy all over the place. Cernd is far more likeable than holier-than-thou, save-the-poor and disrespect-the-Most-Holy-Order-of-the-Raident-Heart Nalia.

I don't think Nalia;s that useful. 4 levels in thief? She can't pick nearly 75% of the locks as you progress, and her intelligence is nothing to brag about, either.
Mazzy is much better than Anomen, I think, since she has that 'Courage' ability. Useful against dragons.
I simply think that Anomen is a snob.

Cernd and Anomen are least fave for me.

Though to be honest, I never really used Cernd that much so I guess that gives me a bias against him. He never really fit into my party.

And is there really a more annoying NPC - nay, a more annoying CHARACTER - in the entire game than Anomen?
