Don't know about anyone else, but those various manuals you see listed in SK are a tease. They do not work in BG2.

Without giving too much away, there are a few items that will increase stats. There is also a machine in one area that will also increase stats.

Happy hunting!

By the time I'd been through BG and SoA my PC's stats were absolutely phenomenal.

Str: 20
Dex: 17
Con: 20
Int: 20
Wis: 23
Cha: 3 (18 with Ring of H.I.)

The strength and constitution ones were Red though as they were from just before the final battle with Irenicus. I didn't use SK at all by the way.

ok so dont flame about this, but what does it mean when the numbers go red?

It means that the stat has either been increased or decreased.

More specifically it means that the item is altered by a spell or item. taking the item off or waiting till the spell runs out finishes the effect. The bhaal powers at the end of SoA also make the stats red, but they shouldn't.

Unless you guys have a different version than me, if a stat is increased, it will be green, not red. Same applies to the endgame. Increases are green, decreases are red.

Interesting, yeah I must have a different version because I only get red for either increases or decreases.

I wonder why there is such a trivial difference like that.

It's always been red with me.. patched, unpatched SoA or ToB, never green.....

Perhaps there is a difference between the american and european version, or between the normal game and collector's edition, it may also be so because of a mod or something familiar. My stats were always white and red though never green or yellow or any other color.

No, they're all the same colour for everyone. I suspect Rastor mixed up BG2 and NWN where they are green sometimes. (And yellow in IWD.)

Anomen's Wisdom stat goes red too by the way, I'd rather it be white to be honest.

Maybe the plaque will be a better teacher than BTA.
