I just started solo with F/M/T. What is the best equipment for him? Will he get all the special abilities for the three classes (I mean actually Greater Wirlwind, Assasination, Greater Evasion, Summon Planetar and Dragon's Breath)? I have ToB installed.
What is the main problem with this multiclass combination: is it magic resistance, AC or spellcasting? (this question is mainly for the experience in solo gaming gamers)
How can I kill dragons? (Except "Fake talk" strategy)

And the final question: isn't better to start with one mage, one tief and one fighter? In that way you can do three things simultaneous (for example fighting, backstabbing and spellcasting) and the enemy will have to split their forces into three parts. The defect is that you have to worry about three characters that could be killed not one.

Oh, and something else: golems. Especially iron and clay. Will the Flail of Ages work against them ?

The magic words "I have ToB installed" mean that you are posting in the wrong forum. Topic moved.

You will be able to select the special abilities of each class of the multi-class.
...Sorry that I passed on this mis-information! You get to select the special abilities of either class when you multiclass two classes. However, you only get to choose from the fighter and thief special abilities in the mage-thief-fighter multiclass. In the words of Minsc, "That's not right!" I think that ShadowKeeper can overcome the problem.

My opinion is three characters will make the game easier than one; however, I would choose different characters than mage, thief, and fighter.

The flail of ages is one of the best weapons in the game. It works.

Passing on the advice of someone who has soloed, AC is one of the most important things in TOB. However, there are alternate strategies available to mages. In addition, there is the Big Metal Unit.

The main problem with this multiclass isn't magic resistance, nor ac, nor spellcasting. The problem is you won't get the Mage's Highlevel abilities. Oh, and of course Imprisonment is very annoying for a solo. As well as any other spell that won't allow you to save. (like PW:Stun)

Going out with three different characters kinda goes against everything solo stands for. It's much harder alone. The defect with three PC's is not you have to worry about getting killed, since you can ressurrect them as long as one survives. You don't have that luxury with soloing. There, if you die, you have to reload.

Provided you have the baldurdash fixpack installed you'll get only the extra spells (6th,7th,8th) from your mages HLA's. However IF you play with an exp. cap remover then you can use ShadowKeeper to give your character the High Level Mage spells in each level up.

And btw another VERY important thing in ToB is your THAC0 most enemies have AC -8 to -10 (Demogorgon has -12!!) Don't worry about your AC. Just use Stoneskins,Mirror Images,Blurs etc.
