Abyssal Knight Tue, 27th Aug '02, 7:24am What does the (specify below) part mean next to the specialist mage option?
Deathmage Tue, 27th Aug '02, 7:32am Probably what Specialist are you.
Gothmog• Tue, 27th Aug '02, 8:01am @Deathmage
you voted for avenger right?
Kitrax Tue, 27th Aug '02, 9:12am What does the (specify below) part mean next to the specialist mage option? It means exactly what Deathmage said. (i.e: Abjurer, Conjurer, Diviner, Enchanter, Illusionist, Invoker, Necromancer, or a Transmuter) :rolling:
Deathmage Tue, 27th Aug '02, 12:16pm @Gothmog4230
Yeah, why?
Earl Grey Tue, 27th Aug '02, 5:11pm There are a few results that I find surprising:
Kensai has more votes than Berserker!
Archer leads 12-3 over Stalker! :toofar:
The last question "Most liked Gender" needs some explanation. I voted female because I prefer my protagonist to be a female, but because of the romances choosing male is a superior choice. Unfortunate, but soon we'll get the Chloe romance mod and all will be good again!
Gothmog• Tue, 27th Aug '02, 5:16pm Deathmage
Rock and Roll
posted August 25, 2002 13:52
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fighter-Kensai (Thy art not worthy of my blade, evil one! I shallth defeat you!)
Thief-Swashy (makes him a decent warrior)
Pally-Cavalier (Hah! Take that, dragon!)
Druid-Hmm, Shapeshifer (Um, it's full mo...*snarl*)
Bard-Jester *should* be decent (La la la, be confused!)
Cleric-Of Talos (I'm shocking)
Mage-Sorcy, does that count? If not then Wild Mage, prolly...(It's amazing how Wild Mages could be lawful)
Ranger-Archer! (Legolas galore!)
Druid-Avenger? (Nature this, nature that, look! I eat flowers!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
what's this then?
Fallen Paladin Tue, 27th Aug '02, 5:44pm Swashbucklers rule all the way!!!! :p
Kitrax Tue, 27th Aug '02, 9:51pm /me flips his game manual open
Fighter: Wizard Slayer (I like the MR and the spell disruption)
Ranger: Stalker (he can backstab like a theif, and can cast certain mage spells)
Paladin: Undead Hunter (imune to lvl drain, bonuses against undead)
Clerics: Preist of Helm (has the best spells)
Druid: Avenger (it's just the best out of the three)
Rouges: Assassin (7x backstab)
Bards: Skald (my personaly fav)
Wizards: Sorcerer (the whole spell memorizing thing) :rolling:
Takouhi Bladesinger Tue, 27th Aug '02, 10:06pm Cavaliers all the way!! I'm your lady in shining armor ;) However, I do not see the point in the last question: whatever the popular vote it probably won't help you much. Me? I'm female so therefore my characture is (duh).
I think my other favorite kits are Swashbuckler, Archer, and Monk. I'm not a big fan of Mages or spells for that matter (even though they are the handiest of people).
Kitrax Wed, 28th Aug '02, 1:14am Takouhi Bladesinger: You've never played as a male PC? I try and play both races equally. :rolling:
Deathmage Wed, 28th Aug '02, 6:17am ...huh? Sorry, I choice druid twice...  :)
Chevalier Mal Fet Wed, 28th Aug '02, 6:23am I boggled at why people voted for the pure cleric. My game says that the kits have no disadvantages, is this right?
Gothmog• Wed, 28th Aug '02, 1:42pm Pure cleric?? :toofar:
Who would do such a thing
Every kit one can choose has no disadvantges :)
Earl Grey Thu, 29th Aug '02, 4:54am I'm afraid I'm one of the sinners who voted "pure" cleric. The main reason is that I don't have a preference for one of the kits, so I thought voting no kit would be the most fair thing.
I'd never play a single class cleric, kit or no kit - it would bore me to death. ;)
Rastor Fri, 30th Aug '02, 12:22am My preference for specialist mage is invoker.
I agree, the gender thing needs to be explained. I prefer my protagonist to be male, because I prefer to romance females. I do have some really awesome female pictures on my harddrive though that I much prefer to the male ones. ;)

Baronius Sat, 31st Aug '02, 7:31pm The best specialist mage class is Conjurer.
It can use all spells except divination spells, and certainly gets the bonus slot in each spell level.
But anyway, the best class is Sorcerer.
Kitrax Sun, 1st Sep '02, 8:43am Fine...I shall explain the gender thing. I had an extra question to fill out, because I was going to ask something else, but I forgot what it was, so I asked the first thing that came to my mind. :rolling:
Sojourner Sun, 1st Sep '02, 9:32am Hm, some of them were tough calls:
Fighter: Berserker
Ranger: Stalker - I was underwhelmed by the archer
Paladin: I think Inquisitor and Cavalier are equally good
Bard: Blade is my hands-down favorite
Thief: Assassin - I love backstabbing
Cleric: Priest of Lathander, but they're all good
Druid: Totemic Druid
Mage: Pure-class - I never really settle on a group of spells but am always experimenting
Other: Barbarian - I just don't get into the hand-to-hand bit, maybe on my next run-through

astro zombie Sun, 1st Sep '02, 10:34am i dont see why everyone prefers the avenger over totemic or just pure alls the avenger can do is shapeshift into these crappy animals (i prefer pure class for the druid) and the totemic druid can bring up spirit animals so can one you are at a high lvl kick ass... i mean they can anialy rape the the litches and mind flyers and vamps...etc. but i guess everyone is intitled to their own opioun.... owell and by the way when you get a shapeshifter to lvl 22 he can kick so much ass.
Gothmog• Sun, 1st Sep '02, 12:06pm Ehm...Why would Shapeshifter be so much better when he reaches lvl22
Earl Grey Sun, 1st Sep '02, 3:38pm @astro zombie
Go read the faq, especially the part about Grammatical Moron of the Week. You might want to edit your post before a mod sees it. :p
I join Gothmog4230 in asking you what makes level 22 so good for a Shapeshifter?
Sick curtaiN Sun, 1st Sep '02, 4:09pm afaik, at lvl 22, all druids, will be able to transform into the Fire or Earth Elemental. I fail to see why this makes the shapeshifter any better.
Pls correct me if I'm wrong...
:coffee:
Prophete D'Acier Mon, 2nd Sep '02, 6:35am Talos rocks! I love the Priest of Talos stronghold it's so cool!
Cavaliers and Undead Hunters are the only good kits of the Paladin class. Inquisitor sucks.
Necromancers rule.
Earl Grey Mon, 2nd Sep '02, 6:47am OMG!
Inquisitor sucks:toofar: :nono:
Are you talking about the same game? Have you actually played with an Inquisitor?
... rocks ...so cool ...sucks ...ruleYes, those arguments of yours almost have me convinced. :p

Gothmog• Mon, 2nd Sep '02, 12:34pm Such a decent language, right ;) :p
So well described why and how is Cavalier greatly better that Inquisitor :p
Put some brains at work while writing

Arabwel Mon, 2nd Sep '02, 1:34pm I don't really have that many kit preferences, but Assassin, Jesters and Wild Mages rock!
I have yet to play many of the other kits so I can't really say anything else...
