Right, this is the situation.

I'm a CN half-elven Blade, currently nearly out of the underdark. I'm being confronted with a bit of weirdness. I can't seem to offer the demon the eggs. I had gotten myself all exited about that nice halberd I was going to get and my only two dialogue options turn out to be 'remain silent' and something along the lines of 'begone foul shade!' Silly thing is, I was going to whack the silver dragon for its blood (a first for me as well) and I don't fancy killing her for some eggs. I want demonic payment for those things!! :(

The question is: does my alignment prevent me from taking this rather evil course of action? Is it my rep? Is it a bug??

Do you have the genuine eggs? There are three sets - the genuine eggs, Phaere's fakes and Solufein's fake. Maybe you've got one of the others and so the Demon isn't interested.

I don't thing alignment matters here as I've played through this bit with good and bad characters and my alignment has never seemed to alter the choices I'm given.

I do have the genuine eggs in my party, but I just thought about something, maybe charname has to have them on his person? Because that is not the case, I think Korgan still has them. Gonna try now!

Your PC must be of an evil alignment to get that option.
