I've cleared the level, destroyed all the statues, done the bell, candle, book, bell et al thingy, and the gate to the second level seems to be open but get the message, "Somehow the statues guarding the portal seem to be blocking your way.." message (or something to that effect) What the heck are they talking about, I can't find anything else on this level to do, fight, talk to or even scream at. Any suggestions?

You have apparently stumbled onto a bug..

this is how it happens:


place one of the objects on the table (candle or bell)... four statues attack--- a druid, a mage and two fighters?... kill them

then hit

bell
bell
candle
book
bell

then, passage is open.. but the rest of the statues attack (golem, gnoll-like, mage and thief I think)..

so---if you did the ritual correctly, you should be able to leave . I think you have found a glitch

Are all the statues dead? I remember I found a couple of statues at the other end of the room that didn't come to me when they were brought to life.

My party didn't find any more statues. Yes, it's probably a bug. All the statues came to me. My party is sooo *attractive*!

Edit: My all-girl party is a clean, mean, fighting machine!( They blow up enemies about 75% of the time.)
