I was wondering, if I use the simmy helm with my F/T and have the simmy use a time stop scroll who is allowed to move? Just simmy? Me and simmy? I'm confused.

Don't have UAI yet, I was just wondering if someone knew.

Just try it, use the "everyone-can-use-a-scroll" trick :D

Well right now I'm not at my house, has no one ever wanted to try this? I'm just imagining later with my F/T, make simmy, time stop scroll, then greater whirlwind, critical strike, greater deathblow, assasination, improved haste, start whacking with 20 attacks a round (or is it capped at 10? Can't remember) with a x10 damage (crits x2 and BS x5) for the duration of timestop, cast timestop again if for some insane reason whatever you're fighting isn't dead. That's alotta damage.

Only the simmy. And also, what is this famous everyone-can-use-a-scroll-trick?

The fabled "everyone-can-use-a-scroll-trick" is, IIRC, when you pause, drink a potion, switch it in your inventory with a scroll, then unpause. IIRC that is.

Can't use it. I'm a Wizard-Slayer.

Actually, when I'm thinking a little more, the Wizard-Slayers can use potions in BG2:ToB. But not scrolls. ARRGH!!

Well darn, that means I have to use time traps, so not as much beatdown time and harder to use. Is there any way I can get a timestop spell off without using up the scroll? Gotta be conservative ya know.

What is a simmy helm?

It's a helm from a bonus merchant, somebody's Helm, begins with a V, help me out people. Casts Simulacron once per day.

Vhailor's Helm, available from Deidre in the upper level of the Adventuer's Mart.

Well there is the Shadowkeeper, if you're willing to go that far. As far as doing all those special tricks you said, simmy and timmy aren't enough, you can get the maximum effect by first casting timmy (like others already described, afaik the potion-to-scroll trick works regardless of class), then ally, then chaining in all of the special moves / spells / effects you've got available (with the exception of whilly and assy and maybe critty, which you have to activate again each consecutive round as they only last for one round, the other effects should last long enough after one use) for the duration of ally. By the time timmy runs out, you should have put together some several hundred points of damage. ;)

As for using scrollies without actually using them, again I ask you to refer to Shadowkeeper. There was some strange (perhaps an overlooked bug?) connection between you and your simmy, but I seem to remember that timmy worked separately on both of you. That is to say, obviously it worked for "you", but I'm not sure that when the simmy cast this spell, where "you" considered the caster, or him?

Yeah I was just trying to find a way where I could do it regularly ;) instead of having to use up the scroll. But I don't use SK, so I guess I'll have to save those scrolls for the hard battles. Ah well, it was a fun idea. Now if only I could put innate abilities in contingencies.... :D
