Indeed, using SK is kinda hairy. I, anyway, like to use it as my item library since it has a nice item browser giving you an idea what can be found durcing the game.

Avoid to do major changes to your char with SK. If you want more items (means: want to cheat) I'd rather suggest to add them using the console.
