I got a bunch of questions.
(note this is for online)

1)Whats the highist Cleric and Mage
level they can reach?

2)Do they Have any disadvanges?

3) Are the Cleric TOB Abilties anygood?

4) I know the Mages have great ones.

5)I should i just be a Mage instead?
b. If Yes which Mage and why.

6) I have a level 12 Kensai. If i dual him
to a mage, Is that worth The mage levels he can't gain becuase of the Xp cap.

I lost my love for Rangers and Paladins and Fell back in love with Spells. But after seeing some of the Priests online. I can't deciede which.

If your trying to decide whether mages or clerics are better, you should think about several things,

-Alignment, Always important, as mages are uneffected by alignment changes in relation to abilities, while priests get different spells dependant on alignment.

-Equipment, Mages get some pretty nifty stuff....later in the game, while priest can just whip on some full plate and kick some butt.

-Spells, Priests tend to be a lot less offensive compared to mages, and in my eyes, priests aren't as wide ranged neither, so you have to think ahead a little on what party members you are going to use, if you are going to have no decent thief, mages are a good choice as they can have Familiars with theif abilities, and the ever handy Knock spell.

1)Whats the highist Cleric and Mage
level they can reach? - Clerics can reach level 40, mages....I don't know, 30-31???

2)Do they Have any disadvanges? - Yes, every class has some disadvantages, but their advantages makes up the disadvantages. It is called game balance.:)

3) Are the Cleric TOB Abilties anygood? - Yes, they are awesome.

4) I know the Mages have great ones. - You know that very well!:)

5)I should i just be a Mage instead? - Instead of a cleric? Well yes...of course.
b. If Yes which Mage and why. - A sorcerer. He can cast more spells than mages, he doesn't have to memorize them.
- If you want to dual then just be a pure mage...that's the best option.

6) I have a level 12 Kensai. If i dual him
to a mage, Is that worth The mage levels he can't gain becuase of the Xp cap - Dual him at level 13. He gains an additional 1/2 attack/ round. Imagine this! Your kensai/mage casts time stop, then whacks Draconis and Abazigal. Whoa!!!

If you want to dual, just make a pure mage. It's your only choice.

Why not dual to druid? They make great fighters and get some nice spells, among others the (in my opinion) most powerful summoning spell.

For me, Aerie hit Lvl 21 Cleric and Lvl 19 Mage IIRC. That was in a four person party with core rules. I like all magic users but am a bit biased towards clerics and druids. Although I can't really see the need for a Kensai Cleric. "Hey guess what guys, I'm a sword saint, but what's this? I can't use swords :aww: :p!"

mages can effectively summon a (good) cleric with the summon (fallen) planetar spell. Its got a couple of "heals" and "raise deads" (and maybe even a few "ressurections"). Which in my opinion is all a cleric is useful for.
I believe the planetar's even got some 7th lvl offensive spells as well, like "earthquake" and "firestorm" (if those are useful at all).

*i think mages can go up to lvl 31, and clerics to lvl 40 in 8million xp.

A cleric is useful for so much more, in fact, I use my clerics less as healers than offensive spellcasters, and much less than defensive spellcasters and summoners. I always have a few Heal memorized, but I mostly use potions.

And then they're great at turning undead.
