What do the two wardstone halves you can find in Watcher's do?

The one with the golem on it(the green one) allows you too go into the room with the two adamantium(sp?) golems in it with out them attacking you. I cant remember what the other one does..or even what it is other than the fact that it is blue. Hope that helps.
