I've just started a new game. Finished the Slaves quest in the stockade (sewers) and now Minsc keeps attacking Yoshimo.
Each time he attacks he says something about "his witch".
I can't see how a 'hate' relationship could have formed between the two as I've only been playing for a couple hours.
Is this a bug?

Minsc's witch used to be Dynaheir (I think) and in BG2 he can adopt Aerie as his witch.
I've never heard of Minsc attacking Yoshimo, but it may have to do something with that. Maybe Yoshimo said something bad about Aerie or Dynaheir?

yoshimo was probably hit by a confusetion spell, or somthing like that that makes him attack your party. If he attacks aerie and brings her down on a low portion of life then minsc will say something like, "I must protect my witch" and then attack the one who attacked aerie, if yoshimo attack her then he will attack yoshimo
he will continue to attack him until you heal her

I had something similar with Valygar and Korgan. Korgan got confused in a fight with some umber hulks and hit Valygar. After the fight, every few seconds Valygar was taking a swing at Korgan even though I kept sending him away and resting. Nothing seemed to make a difference. In the end I had to choose who I most wanted in the party, Korgan or Valygar.
Exit one Valygar.

Minsc can adopt aerie or Nalia as his witch. The one you first get in the party has most chance to become this. Anytime she drops below 25% of her hitpoints he will go berserk and stay that way until the killer or assailant is dead. Yoshimo probably hurt her.

though he wont kill the attacker if his witch is healed and you exit the map

Kinda :yot: I guess, but I had a similar problem with Yoshimo (mainly but occasionally someone else) attacking my character. What's up with that?
