I realize this topic has come up before...but does anyone know the codes to get the golden and silver pantaloons by creating them?
or is it not possible to get them that way?
Thanks :)

If you know that this topic has been come up before, why don't you just use the search option, instead of posting it again.

Right, as these people are so unhelpful ;) :) :p, the codes are:

Silver Pantaloons: MISC50
Gold Pantaloons: MISC47

Thank you, Wildfire.

Silverblade, Munir, that type of answer is rapidly becoming a major pet peeve of mine. If you have nothing to contribute then DON'T POST!

Extremist . . . :p

Oh, and to contribute, I have a question.

Is this Pantaloon thing purely cosmetic or does it affect the substance of the game? Just curious . . .

I consider it a lame way from Black Isle to force customers to buy and play BG1 just to get Golden Pantaloons.
I had BG1 once, I never kept the pantaloons in my inventory, and I'm NOT playing BG1 just for that.

So just use ShadowKeeper. Geez. :P

The Golden Pantaloons are in no way necessary to the game; they are simply an easter egg the developers had a little fun with, and it rewards those who have played all the games and kept the pantaloons for whatever reason.

Pyrion, I don't have the slighest idea what are you suggesting.

Will you please explain?

Are you suggesting that we destroy our saved game somehow?

Pyrion - FYI
Extremist+Shadow Keeper = Disaster!!!

To avoid future conflicts with him use this strategy . . .

"Extremist, if you would like to get the golden pantyhose, you will have to pursue other avenues of non-traditional game editing."

You know that you mean Shadow Keeper, we'll know that you mean Shadow Keeper, but he will hopefully develope a new patch that will save us all the risks associated with the ugly tool.

[Extremist, btw, I'm just yanking your chain. I agree with you on SK . . . you've made a convert out of me]

My problem with this mega-easter egg is not the multi-game aspect.. it is the fact that you must play in an evil way to get the 2nd component...

where is our good-guy mega-multi-game easter egg????

I have heard that there is a Gnome in Amkethran who can turn them into a hugely overpowered set of armor. I think I found the Gnome, but I didn't have any of them when I talked to him. I got the Bronze Pantalettes after, but never went back to see him.

It is indeed an overpowered armor and you should *not* use it when you want to have fun while playing ToB, don't want to fall asleep all the time and don't want to look like a golem.

The exact stats are below:

*SPOILER*

AC: -10
5% Magic Resistance
Your avatar looks like a golem.

Just like to add some copper coins to the pile:

Why would someone be angry at Bioware for putting in some interesting little 'asides' in the games they develope. It seems that players get it in their heads that the value of the game is diminished if they don't do every quest and find every item. These little items that aren't really necessary to complete the game are what make the Baldur's gate world more realistic and enjoyable IMHO, and give everyone a chance to develope their own unique gaming experience. We aren't supposed to know what everything is used for, makes for more mystery and intrigue.

Lord Moeken--

I am not upset at the game creators--I loved the game. It was worth about 10 times what they charged, IMHO...

but I was just speaking from a 'good' alignment role player perspective--if they choose to put one ultra-secret, multigame spanning easter egg in the game, why make is something only the most evil would get??

(i.e. you had to be seriously evil to get the second pair of pantaloons.. but to get the other 2, you didn't really have to do much at all...)

To get the Golden Pantaloons, you had to be a liar and a thief IIRC. :)

Do you have to have golden and Silver to get that armor?

Lord Praetor Munir
Sat, 28th Jul '01, 5:53pm
nope.. you need all three lingerie articles..

Gold from from the Friendly ArM Inn in BG1... Silver Pantaloons come from the quest with that buried guy in the graveyard district.... the bronze underwear is from Abazigal....

together... you can ask Triumph's best pantymaker to make them into a monstrous thong.. i mean.. itll make you monstrous

Is it just me, or am I the only one that remembered that at the beginning of SOA all your equipment is gone. So, with this in mind, HOW DO YOU BRING THE GOLDEN TIGHTS THAT CAJOLE YOUR CALVES INTO TOB. Thank you very much for your imput.

Wildfire

Salvanas - If the golden pantaloons are in your inventory when you import him, then they will be in the trapped picture in the room with the key to Jaheira's cell in Irenicus's dungeon. (allegedly).

Of course, most the enemies you fight in TOB have such huge THAC0s they will easy hit your -16 (or whatever you can manage) AC.
