Everybody in my party has the boots of speed, but for some reason Edwin is muuuch slower than my other party members which is very annoying.
I have no idea why he is so slow, when nobody is wearing the boots his speed is equal to that of the rest.
He is not wearing any items that give free action (and never has in the past).
Loading the game time and again or reequiping the boots doesn't help.
I want to adjust Edwin's speed with Shadow Keeper and have him wear the boots anyway.
Does anybody knows what speed a normal character with the boots of speed has?
According to ShadowKeeper 0 is normal speed iirc.

I had that problem as well. The boots of speed worked fine until he changed to Edwina but then he started slowing down. Even after he changed back, he was still quite a bit slower than everyone else.

Has he got any items on him that might be slowing him down? I know there are a few which render you immune to Slow and Haste effects and these would also make boots of speed useless.

I know that Arbane +2 and FoA +5 have a free action effect, but Edwin only wielded staves in my game. None of the items he's wearing have ever caused this in previous games, so it can't be an item causing this.
And I've never given him the ring of free action, I know there's a bug that makes its effect stick, but I'm baldurdashed anyway.

I've never given him the boots of speed before he turns into Edwina, so I don't know but from what you say it sounds like there's a bug when he changes that screws up his speed.

If anyone knows what the speed bonus is that the boots of speed give, it'll be easy to correct with Shadow Keeper.

AFAIK, 1 will be double the speed, which is what the boots do.

He slides in my game too. But I've never given him boots of speed.

In my past games he has slowed down considerably during and after his sex change, and on occasion he/she slides across the map...I have no idea what causes this or how to fix it. The only way I've found to prevent it is to stay away from the lich. :rolling:

Well for me, it happened even before i went to the graveyard, so its not the nether scroll sex change either, i believe
