View Full Version : Quest Spells! what are they? TelexStar Fri, 27th Jul '01, 12:06pm I've just bought ToB and in the manual it talks about the new spells but under where it says level it just says Quest! what does this mean? Thanks Telex Baldak Oakfist Fri, 27th Jul '01, 12:59pm The "Quest" spells are the high level abilities for Clerics/Druids. Once the character reaches high enough level they gain access to these abilities. For clerics the Quest spells can be chosen as a 7th level spell. For Mages their high level ability spells appear with the 9th level spells. theholygit Fri, 27th Jul '01, 1:11pm the yare basicaly spells you get to choose from one at a time at certain levels and they take up a 9th level slot for the mage, and a 7th level for cleric/druid basically. TelexStar Fri, 27th Jul '01, 2:57pm ahhh right, that makes more sense! 7th level is the highest it will go priest spells, is that right? DemoGorgon Fri, 27th Jul '01, 5:28pm Im not sure, I thought they go up to 9 like mages Firestorm Fri, 27th Jul '01, 10:24pm In P&P they go up to lvl 9 just as with mages but in BGII it only goes up to lvl 7. I think they did because clerics are better at fighting than mages and wanted to give mages another field where they were stronger. It's just the way it is. Grunthex Crawl Sat, 28th Jul '01, 8:07am Well, third edition does have 9th level cleric and druid spells, but that really has no relivence on games like BG2, since they were made under second edition. So, no ninth level cleric spells for you! |
