Do they cut it? Are these weapons any good in ToB or are there much better ones available?...

I'm just wondering whether to play through BG2 to get these or not.

Carsomyr and Crom do... Carsomyr can even be upgraded further... celestial fury and vorpal are good for a while... i dont know about blackrazor since i never did use it, but considering i do remember it was +3, and there is about 235,657,809 +5 weapons ill bet its no good for long either.

I always liked the Vorpal sword, but you really need +5 weapons against some enemies and a +3 sword just doesn't cut it. Doesn't cut it! Haha, great pun eh? No, not really.

I still use Celestial Fury since its stun effect is kickass. Blackrazor is also pretty useful. Carsomyr can be upgraded. Crom is useless imo. Then again i thought it was useless in bg2 also. But seriously all it's useful for is giving you a str of 25 and by this time your thac0 will be low enough that it doesn't matter.

Vorpal Blade sucks ass!!! There are several weapons that have a 10% chance of killing instantly except the target doesn't get a save!! Those weapons are also +5 or +6(and extremely cheesy)

how is 25 stregnth usless?

quick question, can u use the items from ToB in SoA?

Str 25 isn't useless. I would just rather have something else such as drain a level with each hit or lower ac by 2 and mr by 15%. Besides, my cha has girdle of fire giant str and if you were evil you can get your str as high as 24(if your took your cha through bg1 and bg2) It's just unnecessary

I agree. How can 25 strength be useless and the added benny of being able to kill certain golumns with one hit. I find it hard to beleive that any one could find the Crom Fayr useless.

But you hardly fight those certain golems anymore. Besides, at this high level they're easy enough. I just don't like sacrificing the girdle of frost giant str and gauntlets of ogre power for the stupid crom.

And I think it's kind of cheesy, but Vhailor's Helm.

And speaking of good equipment, how is it that mages who can cast time stop still use Adventurer's Robes and Staff +2?
