I don't know if this has been posted already, but is it true that you can turn Sarevok from like chaotic evil to chaotic good, and if so, would this involve going down to Demogorgon's lair and killing him rather then just sealing up his lair?

Yes, it is possible to change Sarevok's alignment through dialog. Watcher's Keep and demogorgy have nothing to do with it.

It took forever for me, but if your patient, and say good things, it will happen.

There is one prerequisite to turning Sarevok's alignment. I've never had him in my party, but I know that (SPOILER) you must not make him swear allegiance to you. If you have, his alignment will not change. (END SPOILER)

What? I read about his in the Ascension readme, but I got the impression that this was an addon specifically in the Ascension module. Not in the original ToB itself. I've played ToB through with one of the earlier versions with a good sorcerer and I never got Sarevok to even hint on changing alignment.

And I didn't make him swear allegiance.

The problem is it happens during his banter dialogs, which occur somewhat randomly. If you move through ToB too quick, you may not get the chance to change his alignment. You can speed things up, by using the CRTL+I cheat.

What's the alignment he changes to? Straight from CE to CG?

I'm actually quite curious what is his new alignment.

I can't imagine it would take the huge jump from chaotic evil to chaotic good. He might move to chaotic neutral.

Wow, Balthazar would be shocked. The player character can pull both Viconia and Savevok away from evil! :)

He does go straight to CG :)

If Viconia is your romance and you treat her with love and kindess, she will change alignment after the defeat of Yaga Shura.

Hmm, moving too fast is bad. Luckily, I have a save file way back when, so, I think if I took it slow on that file, I'd be ok.

From the Complete Baldur's Gate II & Throne of Bhaal FAQ and Walkthrough: Also, although he is Chaotic Evil at the moment, depending on how you treat him, you can get him to change alignments to Chaotic Good. In order to get him to switch, don't ask for him to make the promise, then act good around him yourself, giving him second chances and whatnot.

It's illogical that Sarevok himself goes from CE to CG and Viccy from (mock) NE to N only (while nothing about balance is concerned but the moral wrongfulness of evil)
