Felinoid Mon, 14th Nov '05, 2:46am /me checks pantaloons
Yep, definitely something in there. :heh:
Lost Meme Mon, 14th Nov '05, 3:20am NOTE: Remember, the question refers to you not your character in BG.Give me a moment while I try to grasp this brain-frying concept...
NonSequitur Mon, 14th Nov '05, 3:21am /me checks pantaloons
Yep, definitely something in there. Socks don't count, mate! :p
/me legs it to avoid flaying from kitty
Winterine Mon, 14th Nov '05, 4:11am *chuckles@Fel and NonSequitur*
kuemper Mon, 14th Nov '05, 5:04am With a totally straight answer, I am Canadi-uh, female! Yes, that's right.
Nakia Mon, 14th Nov '05, 5:30am Born female and never changed.
Saber Mon, 14th Nov '05, 6:07am Male.
*Checks pantaloons*
Uh-oh...
Kitrax Mon, 14th Nov '05, 6:39am Male. :thumb:
My pantaloons are draped over my shoulders at the moment...so checking them won't do any good. :hahaerr: :rolling:
Celesialraven Mon, 14th Nov '05, 7:07am Male
My pantaloons aren't the only thing I could drape over my shoulder :D
NonSequitur Mon, 14th Nov '05, 7:11am Male
My pantaloons aren't the only thing I could drape over my shoulderSo... you've got socks too, huh?
/me checks over shoulder for rampaging kitty and keeps running
Faragon Mon, 14th Nov '05, 7:15am Hey guys, I've got a penis!
Felinoid Mon, 14th Nov '05, 7:23am @NS:
 What are socks, and what do they have to do with gender?
NonSequitur Mon, 14th Nov '05, 7:34am what do they have to do with gender? Nothing, Fel - they're just there to... create a bigger impression, that's all.

Yup, i guess together they make for a nice pair. A warm pantaloon(s) and a nice big, wooly sock(s) :p
But seriously, anyone have a good pic of some good 17th\18th C pantaloons? I've heard of them only through BG (gold, silver, bronze) and i guess i'm wondering... would wearing one give you metallic properties, or do you just have to find a local mad scientist who likes to wear three pairs of pants :)

Faraaz Mon, 14th Nov '05, 8:19am Male....
Hux Mon, 14th Nov '05, 8:40am Male, I've checked twice so I should be correct.
Faraaz Mon, 14th Nov '05, 8:51am Why would you need to check twice?
This is such a spammy thread! :shake:
Hyperion Mon, 14th Nov '05, 10:08am Male, since '83. Don't know 'til when, though...
The Magpie Mon, 14th Nov '05, 10:50am Male. And unlike an oyster, I've never changed - not even once!
Silverstar Mon, 14th Nov '05, 12:13pm Well I am male too. What a big suprise!
Anyway, this topic is grand to know the gender of dear members of BoM, I really do not know to refer to people here as 'he' or 'she', and I have huge troubles with it. :whoa: (No, in my home language, Turkish, we do not have different words for sexes like he/she/it so it is rather confusing for me! )
starwalker Mon, 14th Nov '05, 12:22pm Dude Felinoid. Why are you checking out your leg like that? Can't you see it from outside your Pantaloons?
Silvershield Mon, 14th Nov '05, 12:27pm Clearly Fellinoid is HUGE, i mean ... WAT!!!
Nah, me, I'm a male, but it's not lik i can't be female if i wanted ... :D !!!
Shrikant Mon, 14th Nov '05, 12:51pm Male. Why do you want to know?
Silverstar Mon, 14th Nov '05, 12:51pm Sebastian II, you mean...you can...you are...
OK I am very curious now :D How can you be female when you really want? :spin:
Silvershield Mon, 14th Nov '05, 12:59pm HAHAHA! Don't worry Silver, I don't even know! And yeh ... i know that's strange! ^o)
Silverstar Mon, 14th Nov '05, 1:11pm Good. Forget I ever asked. :D You know, it is rather COOL! :shake:
Wordplay Mon, 14th Nov '05, 1:22pm Why doesn't it surprise me that there are over 25 males and less than 5 females...
Silvershield Mon, 14th Nov '05, 1:27pm Wirhe have a guess! But that's just how it is ... hold up, did you say FIVE females ... no way!
Silverstar Mon, 14th Nov '05, 1:32pm Shoot, so SP can not be a dating/friendship sort site eh? :p
BTW, we really must write female list down somewhere, considered the fact they are so very few.
Silvershield Mon, 14th Nov '05, 1:42pm Yeh, but now that they know we're onto them, will they give in to the temptation ... hehe :D !
BTW, is this what this topic is actually about???
Laiwethel Mon, 14th Nov '05, 2:17pm One of the few women here.
Ofelix Mon, 14th Nov '05, 3:40pm Yet another man here. Yeah I checked this morning and yeah it's there.
Strange I know there is less women here but still only five or six? Nay it's not possible.
kuemper Mon, 14th Nov '05, 4:22pm And surprisingly, I'm not getting hit on! :p
Taluntain Mon, 14th Nov '05, 4:27pm The only thing this poll is representative of is the part of the SP community that happens to post in the ToB forum... so it's not really a good overall indicator of the male vs. female D&D CRPG gamers ratio.
Felinoid Mon, 14th Nov '05, 4:40pm @NS:
I've never heard of that; did you invent it?
@kuemper:
What are you talking about? I've been hitting on you ever since I found out. :p
/me wonders why this didn't get put in The Playground :hmm:
DarkStrider Mon, 14th Nov '05, 4:56pm Male still, not willing or capable of change
Undertaker Mon, 14th Nov '05, 6:14pm Just left out the toilet and everything is on it's place so I'm 100% male :p
The Gatekeeper Mon, 14th Nov '05, 6:22pm I'm inclined to aggre with Tal, but a lot of CRPG's are quite the same so id have to say the ratio would be... consistant throughout most games (with little exception). But the fact that its the TOB forum is true... should probably have posted this someplace else.. oh well, we all know the answer to this deep down... ^_^
Drathir Darthirii Mon, 14th Nov '05, 8:39pm Me is a laydee. I don't have a trouser snake. Er, at least, I don't THINK I do... :)
I like ToB. There, now this topic has a ToB reference, it can stay here. Er, I hope... :)
Balle Mon, 14th Nov '05, 9:26pm Heeeey are there women here?
/me hits 'em all
Gimme your numbers!!!
oh and i'm male
EDIT: typos
8people Mon, 14th Nov '05, 9:41pm Female.
You got that?! FEMALE!!
:bang:
*cough*
:heh:
@ Balle - you want my number? Here it is:
8 :p
Balle Mon, 14th Nov '05, 9:44pm hey thanx!!!! i'll be calling you in no time!
in denmark, wich is where me and 1 other poster is living, there is a leasing firm, it's number is 8x8 ---> 88888888
Frostwyrm Mon, 14th Nov '05, 11:48pm Female of course ;)
Hugo Tue, 15th Nov '05, 12:16am Male, and I didn't even have to check :p
:borg:
(Also: I don't even frequent the ToB forum, I saw it on the 10 most recent posts lists on the home. So much for that theory :p )
shadow lurker Tue, 15th Nov '05, 1:40am Female. :D Why aren't there more of us?!
Harbourboy Tue, 15th Nov '05, 2:29am Because most women have better things to do than fritter away time on games and message boards.
The Gatekeeper Tue, 15th Nov '05, 2:34am Because most women have better things to do than fritter away time on games and message boards. For the most part yeah your right...
starwalker Tue, 15th Nov '05, 8:13am They have better things to do?
Here I thought it was because intellectually skilled women secretly scare us so we hoard the games to ourselves so that we aren't easily figured out.
disclaimer:sarcasm is about as far as I manage to get with humor on most days. I think I shall purchase another proficiency dot in humor on my next level up.
Balle Tue, 15th Nov '05, 9:18pm Can you do something else than playing games and roaming various boards?
is this the secret to women we are about to figure out?
shadow lurker Wed, 16th Nov '05, 3:46am @Harbourboy
Trying to imply something? :(
Kidding. :D
starwalker Wed, 16th Nov '05, 4:02am Hey I don't know about the rest of this lot but I can cook and clean amongst other things. granted my cleaning is not spotless but I can still do it.
Balle Wed, 16th Nov '05, 8:14am then you're a woman'`?
Meatdog Wed, 16th Nov '05, 10:14am Starwalker, in most cases, as is in mine, it is not so much a lack of skill as well a lack of actually putting the skills in practice. ;)
starwalker Wed, 16th Nov '05, 12:00pm ~snickers @ Balle~ I think you talk to my sister. She says that I'm not male even having the propper physical parts.
DarkStrider Wed, 16th Nov '05, 12:04pm I can cook and clean amongst other things Well cooking has always been the male province as for cleaning that's why they invented housekeepers and cleaning services :D
shadow lurker Wed, 16th Nov '05, 10:27pm Piece of advice:
Never eat anything I cook. It could be deadly.
:D
Balle Wed, 16th Nov '05, 11:13pm @starwalker s'long she's female
Taluntain Wed, 16th Nov '05, 11:15pm Let's get back on track, shall we...
shadow lurker Thu, 17th Nov '05, 2:16am Gack! Now it's 42:9 ! :aaa:
Paine Thu, 17th Nov '05, 2:37am Female. And these poll results are depressing me (not that I'm surprised).
shadow lurker Thu, 17th Nov '05, 2:52am Totally agree. The results are shocking. Especially since I go to a single-sex school. Maybe the rest of us are not active members...?
SatansBedFellow Thu, 17th Nov '05, 3:03am Male. At least until I get my finances in order...
Ofelix Thu, 17th Nov '05, 3:09am Male. At least until I get my finances in order... I'm not sure I want to understand this one actually.
And out of curiosity since when cooking and cleaning is female specific? I mean even men has hygiene, well most of us at the very least.
shadow lurker Thu, 17th Nov '05, 3:16am @Ofelix
Hah! You're forgetting Aragorn from LOTR. He's labelled as 'ruggedly-manly' And if you read the Secret Diaries, you'll find Arwen says something like "Dosen't he ever wash his hair when I'm not around?" :D
Ofelix Thu, 17th Nov '05, 3:23am Arwen says something like "Dosen't he ever wash his hair when I'm not around?" All I have to say is; Ewwwwwww
oh and yeah *I* wash my hair, and they are about as long as Aragorn's. But hey I was talking of Hygiene and *real* men, real as in I'm living in RL not in a book
shadow lurker Thu, 17th Nov '05, 3:31am Hehehe... Well I know my brother is pretty lazy about his hygiene, he often comes back from 'training' and the first thing he does is start annoying me. :aaa: Wouldn't you go take a shower first!?
Ofelix Thu, 17th Nov '05, 3:33am Hehehe... [laughing out loud] Well I know my brother is pretty lazy about his hygiene, he often comes back from 'training' and the first thing he does is start annoying me. [aaa!] Wouldn't you go take a shower firs Oh my... Myself the first thing I do after sereval hours of training is taking a shower, I feel so unclean if not.
dmc Thu, 17th Nov '05, 5:59am Ahem, to quote the red dragon:
Let's get back on track, shall we...
Silvershield Thu, 17th Nov '05, 9:54am Seriously though, is there really that little females here? I find that hell strange!
Meatdog Thu, 17th Nov '05, 10:43am Well, don't forget this is the ToB forum. Maybe most female BG2 players didn't bother to buy the expansion. I think we would get more realistic results if this were on the front page, as the weekly poll.
Silvershield Thu, 17th Nov '05, 10:49am That's a good idea dog, can we get Tal or dmc to do that?
Taluntain Thu, 17th Nov '05, 4:04pm I'll post this question in our weekly poll next week, and you can compare the results then. Though I think it's already been done some time ago.
shadow lurker Thu, 17th Nov '05, 10:44pm @Ofelix
Found it! :D Go to:
http://www.cynicsteaparty.com/now/snarking/about/the_very_secret_diaries_of_the_lord_of_the_rings/P7/
Read Day Twenty for Arwen's Secret Diary.
Yeah, well, my brother is sooo immature.
me: leave me alone I'm trying to study!
him: *poke poke punch poke*
me: GAHHHH!
