I did the Umar Hills quest pretty much right at the beginning of chapter 2 to get my stronghold. In chapter 3, I saw Delon and thought "Oh, the mayor must want something" so I went and spoke with him. And I got the Umar hills quest again. I didn't think much of it, but he keeps popping up and asking when I'll get around to it. I went back to the mayor, and he didn't say anything. After the third time I saw him, he came up to me with one of the ranger stronghold quests. So I've got two Delons running around, one thinking that they're all going to die, the other asking for my assistance again. So what's the deal? This is starting to get really annoying!

Yeah for real! I don't have 2 Delons, but even after you solve the orginal Umar Hills quest he still is there on my game too!

I originally thought its because the Bridge District Murder quest is connected to Umar Hills, but you must bring the Tanner's Letter to Umar Hills with you, and if you don't solve it (the Bridge District in complete) the first time there, chances are it will remain totally unsolved (despite the murderers being dead...if you killed them) and Delon will still be hanging around wherever he approached you the first time.

neeraj, you are confusing trademeet with umar hills. the last part of the skinner murders is in trademeet, not umar hills.

trademeet: the city your rescue from the animal attacks.

umar hills: the place where you find valygar, where you help that cowled wizard killing the golem and the place with the ogres who ask for your help. It is also city that you go to before going of to the temple ruins to kill the shade lord and his shadow dragon.

This is a known bug that might be fixed in a future Baldurdash FixPack.

Keep any saves you have from before talking to Delon the second time as it may ruin your stronghold as per this thread :

Yeah, that happened to me as well so I just steered clear of Delon after finishing Umar Hills each time I played after that

i have also had the same thing happen to me, but i have had it happen in many places. i had to do the shadow dragon and many other things over again. And i have had other problems related to this, like aerie wouldnt speak to me anymore, but eventually her dialogue kicked back in, and now in TOB it's all happening again.

Death Whisper, Umar Hill's and the skinner murders are connected in the way of the letter. You make a contact with one of the Tanner's people who want silver Dragon blood to complete the human flesh armor. Beyond that, I'm not aware of any other connection.

One of the merchants in the Umar Hills region can finish the Human Flesh Armor you got from the house of the tanner solving the murders in the Bridge district. His name is Fael and you also need the note found in the tanner's house to make the contact. Fael needs the blood of a silver dragon to finish the armor and as Adalon is the only silver dragon in the game you have to kill her to get the blood...

and more on topic: I never experience the Delon problem, but I never played a ranger so I never tried to get the ranger stronghold...

If you travel to Umar Hills with the "Tanner's Letter" found in the Tanner shop, you will find a fourth person with the 3 merchants standing outside the hotel. This 4th person (Fael as the person above stated) is the dude Reijik was ultimately working for. (Note: As far as I know, he will only appear the FIRST time you come to Umar Hills, and must have the Tanner's Letter in your inventory.).

I totally messed up that part of the quest though. I wanted to kill him instead of help him, and I got one slash in, and then he left (I wasn't quick enough in my attempt to kill him)

The reason why many folk do not know this part of the quest is because they do not travel to Umar Hills with the Tanner's Letter, as this case is overshadowed by the real problem going on in Umar Hills, and due to the fact that the Bridge District murder threats are truly done away with once you kill Reijik and the other dude in Trademeet, and also the obscurity in actually seeing this dude. (I've only seen him once. Every other time I went to Umar Hills, I never saw him! He was afraid of my blade!)

Or because the item is evil only.

As far as I know, he will only appear the FIRST time you come to Umar HillsHe'll spawn whenever you go to Umar Hills with the Tanner's letter, regardless of whether it is the first time or not.

I've been wondering about the letter from teh Bridge District as well, thanx for clearing this up for me guys! :thumb:
