O.K. I have never used any Mod's before in any of the Baldur's games (except for expanded arrow stacks in BG1)
I am currently playing BG1 with a Fighter/mage, removed the xp cap and increased the arrow stacks.

I was thinking to myself why not play a mod for the first time in BG2 when you export the char.
But I haven't got any experience with them.

Which should I use, are the best balanced and which can I use combined?

TDD has some interesting plots but all together its not worth it.
Lots of bugs even in 1.03 version.
But most of all i dont like it becouse of so many magical weapons. And some are really unbalanced. Like a helm which gives +1 to all stats, a staff +2 +2movement 4 attacks per round.

All in all: Not worth downloading ;)

So far all of the "New Story" mods have really sucked...and they are always 200-300Mb too large! Since you are going solo, I would recomend these mods:
Item Upgrade
Tactics
Ease of Use
Baldurdash Remix
Cloakwood Squares

Since you are playing solo...no need to mention any of the NPC mods. :rolling:
