I was just thinking that we might not have to fight Demogorgon, instead a evil party could make a deal with him. Or the big boss depending on your choices and who you side with could be either a Solar or good old Demogorgon. By the way are there any official 3rd edition stats for demogorgon, is he even in 3rd edition?

Just like (SPOILER HERE!!!) the dragon in hell at the end of BG2. I didn't have to fight him, because I chose to talk to him (at least, that's what I said to the demon) and then he just gave me the tear and left.
Good riddens, although it wasn't really satisfying, because I just prepared for him with all kinds of protections etc.

More fun to fight them is to outsmart them so they fight for you not against you. Then you sit in your chair, do what you want to do and let your pet to do the dirty job.
