OK, played the Ritual mini-quest added by mods and I was actually suprised that how that little level guys(they are all 9-10) can be SOO ANNOYING and painful. A congratulations to mod makers as those little level guys are VERY CLEVER and unusually tough. I had a quite hard time in insane difficulty(we were all level 18-20 yes I am ashamed but these guys are something special) but I discovered their BIG weakness, they are low level and thus can be killed with DEATHBLOW! So equipped Minsc with a Longbow, improvedhasted him, he used his Deathblow(it was a WISE decision for the first HLA methinks) and watched the little buggers fall one by one.
Anyway I destroyed all those HORRIBLY STRONG and ANNOYING skulls(their resistances rock hard and they have nasty attacks) and enetered the Ritual's final where the lass(priestess?) continued on to finish it. I was at a loos to what to do, is the ritual evil? OR is the Pontfiex fellow evil? I decided to cast a INNOCENT 'Know Alignment' :rolleyes: spell on the lass and FOR SOME REASON this annoyed TOUGH golems near her. OH well I admit I becam agitated and attacked her as well(it was only a small acidic arrow just to disrupt her) and she was gone. TOUGH battle with golems though, they are VERY STRONG and did MASSIVE DAMAGE(well on insane anyway) but I was able to survive.
NOW, did I do the good thing? What is the RITUAL anyway? Did I miss a dialogue or did my poor English fail me? (it is not my first language)
Do you know what is the Ritual or is it a big mystery or some kind of hard joke?
PLUS that Pontifiex gave me REALLY COOL amulets, Lilith Amulets, they are all CURSED but provide vampiric defenses, immunity to charm, level drain, normalweapons, cold, electricity, regeneration WOW soo powerful. Do they have a side effect? Is it dangerous to equip them too long? They made the battle with IMPROVED (shivers!..GASP!.. Oh my!...NNOO!..) Bodhi rather easy :D should I cast remove curse on my fighters or can they continue to carry it? Will they eventually turn into a vampire or shift alignment rather dramatically? (UH oh if Keldorn refuses to wear it there must be some solid reason) HELP!
PS:I know there is also a battle with Pontifiex fellow (or rather his dragon form) and I just recently beat IMPROVED Firkraag(it was just like him. I still don't know how to rip his RIDICULOUSLY STRONG defenses and how he manages to put a TimeStop in a ChainContingency but I DID beat him) so I will try it after I do some Watcher's Keeping I suppose.
