The situation: I reinstalled SOA and TOB 3 times in 2 weeks

1) I installed TDD and SOS and it totally ****ed up. Is there a way to have both?

2) I have dialogue/voice problems with everyone, especially Kelsey, just after I installed Ascension. I already have these mods: clockwood 2, Unfinished Business, Banter Pack, Flirt Pack, SOS, Kelsey TOB and SOA, Quest Pack and Tactics.

So my question here is why, just after installing Ascension, did everything go wrong with the voices (I was really mad because I was really far along in the game and having to restart was not fun)?

3) After reinstalling the game, I installed the mods in the following order: SOS, UB, Quest Pack, Clockwood 2, Flirt Pack, Banter Pack, Tactics, Ascension, Kelsey SOA and finally Kelsey TOB.

Here, my question is why, after installing everything, I am still having problems like Minsc and Jaheira leaving my party as soon as I take them in (at the very beginning) or my kits having names like 'Irenicus is sad today' or 'Balthazar said....'

My final question is: How can I have the above-described mods and be sure to avoid any problems?

Are you using the WeiDU version of Ascension? If not, that's the trouble.

Scrambled text means you did one of the following:

- Installed a non-WeiDU mod after WeiDU mods
- Installed the official patch after mods
- Installed a mod or patch with the game or a game editor running

You need to install again in the correct order. TDD and SoS may not be compatible; I'd recommend personally not playing either.

1) WeiDU is a modding tool that can compile scripts and such into the game... You'll know WeiDU by the dos console that appears when installing the mod. Basically all non-weidu mods uses a GUI based self-installer.

2) Most mods nowadays are WeiDU. however have you first installed a mod using WeiDU once, you will recognize it easilly.

3) You may ONLY install one non-WeiDU mod! And yes, it SHOULD be installed prior to any WeiDU mods are applied. Iirc (Feel free to correct me here :p ) WeiDU writes within your dialog.tlk where non-weidu mods simply replace it; thus you will loose all dialog content from mods installed before a non-weidu mod.

4) You have the original Ascensions v 1.4, which isn't WeiDU, and far from as bug-free as a WeiDU version will be. You need to get the WeiDU version to have it run propper with other mods.

EDIT: Btw, Andyr, didn't BWL have some different installers that combined SOS and TDD with each other and with other mods :hmm: (May be non-weidu version, though).

There is a package called Big Picture which did that, yeah.

It was not made by BWL but they were one of the download mirrors. The home of the mod is SHS. http://www.spellholdstudios.net

thank for the help guys so if i undersdtand evrything if i only got Weidu mods it will be perfect and everything will run fine and my script w'ont be all in mess that it?

Yes hopefully so, though you must install the patch before mods AFAIK.

I have Tactics, Improved Battles, Ascension, Item Upgrade, Ease of Use, Sola, Kelsey, Turnabout, Oversight, XP safe cap disabler (lvl50), G3 anniversary, G3 tweaks, quest, banter, flirt packs, true grandmastery, robe of vecna tweak, and many more little tweaks AND the official patch. I haven't encountered a single bug from the start of Irenicus's dungeon to the great Ascension Battle, much thanks to the -install in order- instructions of kind guys here. Thank you all! :banana:

Yes, there's still an order of installation for Weidu, though I can't recall it atm -.-..

iirc it's something along these lines (though I'm not possitive):

-The game
-Patch
-WeiDU mods
* Ascensions goes as one of the last
** Thigs that add to the Bioware NPC ToB endings goes BEFORE ascensions.
*** Banter that afflicts NPC's added from mods goes after the appropriate NPC(s) have been added.
**** Basically any mod/upgrade that afflicts other mods should be installed AFTER the mod the afflict have been installed (Come to think of it, I'm in doubt whether "afflict" is correctly used in this combination, though I'm way to lazy to actually do something about it :p ).

ok so finnaly here what i counclude for a perfect instalation of my mods i go with:

-the patch
-Shadows over soubar (because it big and override alot of stuffe)
-unifinished buisnes
-quest park
-banter pack
-flirt pack
-kelsey soa
-kelsey tob
-acsension

in that order should i be ok???

Have you checked if banter packs and-/or flirt packs afflicts Kelsey? (If they're pocketplane, there's a good chance that it does). Iirc flirt and banter should also be installed after ascensions.

well i can let go does 2 mods anyway because i rather kelsey but when you said : ascensions goes as one of the last.

-Game
-Patch
-Shadfows over Soubar (you got a WeiDU version of it, right? - If one is made that is. If not, only install 1 weidu mod, iirc!)
-UB
-Quest pack
-Ascensions
-Kelsey
-Banter pack
-Flirt Pack

You might enhoy some tweak packs too. There's one at http://www.WeiDU.org called Ease-Of-Use, one at http://www.gibberlings3.net called the G3 Tweak Pack and one at http://www.pocketplane.net called Ding0Tweak. They all have different components and will be compatible with each other.

I mention it as most players find some tweaks (such as higher arrow stacks) to be very useful.
