If you killed him in BG1, will he attack you when you meet him in BG2? Do you have choices?

View Full Version : Drizzt spoiler Klorox Fri, 20th Oct '06, 6:02am If you killed him in BG1, will he attack you when you meet him in BG2? Do you have choices? Disciple of The Watch Fri, 20th Oct '06, 6:07am Hmm... IIRC, if you have any of his gear, he will attack you. If not, you have the choice of attacking him or not. That's how I remember it, though. I might be wrong, so maybe the Big Cat can confirm (or deny) what I have said. Brallrock Fri, 20th Oct '06, 6:25am There is dialogue that lets you out of the fight even if you have his gear. I think it says something about attacking because of heritage only or some such stuff. He will even help you with a quest even if you have his stuff, although I think you have to give it back to get his help. starwalker Fri, 20th Oct '06, 7:26am it's kind of funny talking to him even if you say something like "aren't you supposed to be dead?" or things like that but you can get out of the fight. The only time he will attack you without leaving you a way out is if you make your Protaganist with the name Drizzt and then get a reputation lower than 9 when you meet him. He'll get really pissed and attack you outright then as I recall for hurting his name and reputation as I recall. Mordokai Fri, 20th Oct '06, 7:35am You also have to be an elf for that to work, IIRC. Silvershield Fri, 20th Oct '06, 7:59am Oh really? I didn't know that!!! I remember there are three choices you can make, * One being that you've met him before * One being that you've met him before and killed the man * and lastly one dialouge is meeting him for the first time Obviously if you say you killed him back in BGI then of course he's gonna get mad :p Felinoid Fri, 20th Oct '06, 9:31am If your name is "Drizzt" or "Drizzt Do'Urden" and you're an elf with a rep of 11 or lower, Drizzt will attack you on sight. If you had any of his items on import (even if just cheated in and you didn't actually kill him), he'll recognize you as the one who attacked him and demand an apology. You'll have to apologize, but a simple apology will always suffice. If you didn't have any of his items on import, he won't recognize you unless you say you killed him, which you can do no matter if you did kill him or not. If you say that, though, then it follows the apology rule above. Naturally, being unapologetic for killing someone would make them rather annoyed. ;) Silverstar Fri, 20th Oct '06, 1:52pm I did not know that! :xx: So if you are an elf named Drizzt and have a low reputation, he will attack you on sight? Cool! Can some one provide a screen shot? starwalker Fri, 20th Oct '06, 7:08pm oh. If you side wiht Bodhi the conversation goes a little different. Either he forgives you for not knowing you were working for the villan and will help you as normal or you can choose to attack Drizzt. Silvershield Sat, 21st Oct '06, 7:20pm So if you have the name Drizzt does he say anything as usual? Or just go straight in for the kill :p Decados Sun, 22nd Oct '06, 6:14pm Yeah, he tells you that he's annoyed at you for trampling on his reputation before he turns hostile. Silvershield Tue, 24th Oct '06, 4:15pm  Ohh could anyone provide a screenshot :D The irony when you kill him ;) |
