Sorcerers place mod's (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_editors.htm)

Team BGII mods (http://www.teambg.net)

There's others but you can find almost any mod for BGII available through these two.

You can use this thread as a guide... just about every mod available is listed.

http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=002241

It was moved to the ToB forum, but it is by no means ToB-exclusive...

There's some excellent portraits for female characters here. (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/)

If you want to make the game harder, how about the Tactics mod?

Bored of SoA!!? <mutters something offensive under his breath> ;) :p

You would find it hard to play evil at first but once you do, it will be hard to play good again... just take a look at Shura! :mommy:

There is a comprehensive mod list that can be found in 'the forum that may not be named' if you do a search - although it is near the top at the moment.

:edit: - Whoops, I didn's see Icelus' link

If you're bored of SoA go buy ToB... Worked for me.

There are a lot of good mods available, and even lesser mini-mods (check SP BGII section) can be cool!
And try ToB, you will like it, at least while playing it 1st time.

The poster limited his topic to consideration of SoA.

Let's halt any further discussion of the expansion.

Try soloing with a fighter/mage or fighter/thief, try a mage-only party...there are a lot of possibilities. As of kits, the monk or kensai are quite powerful ones. Regarding to portraits, download them from the hacks, tweaks and hints section you've got hundreds of them. besides, I think your roleplaying determines the portrait, not vice-versa.

ok, two words: mods TOB (well actually TOB equals 3 words so its not really 2,) fine four words...... better

[ Like it wasn't bad enough that you resurrected a 4 year-old topic ... But you've brought back to life a topic that's been dead since December with a totally pointless remark. You're not making a good impression here. ] - Beren

Go get yourself ToB - when you're soloing you get some cheesy abilities which makes soloing much more fun IMO.
For SoA, I'd recommend The Darkest Day mod. Very big and nice mod. For ToB, there's also alot of mods. Well worth playing IMO, not too expensive these days neither.

For class, I'd go Blade, one of the thief classes, Stalker or Druid.

For SOA, I'd recommend you *don't* get the TDD mod. True, you might be the 1 in every 100,000 who doesn't experience bugs every few seconds with it but do you really want to take that risk?

One mod I can't recommend enough is Unfinished Business. Looks like the developers cut some of the funniest scenes out of the game (Oh Boo Where Art Thou? and the sewer workers who used Spider's Bane as a crowbar) and this puts them back in. Best of all, it does this seamlessly and if you'd never played the game before you wouldn't be able to tell which parts it adds and which have always been there.

I got ToB like a year ago or so. Havenīt finished it yet.
The gamefeeling between BG1 and BG2 was disimprooved alot, and it got even worse in ToB if you ask me.
TDD was very buggy in the earliest versions.
But since I got 1.0.3A I havenīt had any problems at all.
Itīs a big download though, so if you have a slow connection this might be a problem.

How anyone could get bored of SoA is beyond me though...

David W, I've played through TDD without experiencing ANY bugs - suck on that one ;)
Worth a try if you're tired of the original game.
