I couldnt find this anywhere, Just curious what you get for killing the most feared demon in the game.

Nothing. Just xp. LOTS and LOTS of xp! plus the satisfaction of knowing you are truely fearsome. :D

No items, but everyone gets 120,000 experience.

You get a T-shirt that says "I killed the prince of demons and all got was this stupid T-shirt."

IIRC, you get to continue LIVING! Why would you expect to find treasure on an imprisoned demon? I think the XP points are good enough. :rolling:

I certainly wouldn've minded a nice big item on him (it?). Sure, the xp is nice and all, but there's nothing to remember the expierience of killing a prince of demons by. Wouldn't it be nice to carry Crenshinibon around? (Although I guess that's already in Spellhold.)

Crenshinibon is the name of the crystal shard from Icewind dale IIRC.

Why would the crystal shard be in Spellhold?


Anyway, back on topic...

I was disappointed myself that all I got for killing the prince of demons was some XP. Okay, a *lot* of XP but still nothing much to write home about. By the stage in the game where you're ready to take Demogorgon on, a few hundred thousand XP here or there don't make a whole lot of difference: a couple of extras HPs, maybe an extra HLA... Big deal.

Why not a suit of armour forged from his demonic hide? Or give his heart to your imp and get him to forge a weapon out of it? Or he drops a lot of high level spell scrolls that he had been reading during his lengthy imprisonment to pass the time?

Surely any of them would be better than just more XP...

You can loot some generic +x weapons and armor from the knights if you trick them into going down so he can kill them.

That still isn't good enough. So far in the game, the one battle I thought gave you the best items was the one with Firkraag and the one in the Twisted Rune. Really awesome stuff.

A few generic +x weapons and armor and all are just not good enough. Considering the difficulty level of fighting Demogorgon...you should've got something like a vorpal dispelling spear +10 or something! :D

Well 120k is over 1/80 of the total xp cap.

And what's wrong with all the other uber-weapons you have by the time you get there? aren't you already overpowered enough?

davidw - I thought that the weird kobold crystal was BioWare's way of putting Crenshinibon in the game. (The big crystal is like a smaller version of Cryshal-Tirith.) Maybe not...

I was just fine with getting no items. The XP pushed Jaheira past level 14 making her a goddess.

A vorpal dispelling impaling spear +10 of holiness would've still been good :D :D :D

What did the game list the shard's name as, anyway?

And wasn't it a from an 'Avatar' or something like that?
