View Full Version : Swashbuckler's HP?
Koki Sat, 19th Feb '05, 1:04pm So I toned down my powergaming urge a lot and created character whom I can actuall like. It turned out to be a Swashbuckler, to my surprise.
But I got one thing: With 18CON, I have 6HP(With Max HP Per Level Up intalled). And Imoen, level 1 Thief with 16CON has 8HP. Isn't something wrong here? I created another Swash with 18CON and he had 6HP too, so let's say the mod is working properly.
Is it because of a kit?
Meatdog Sat, 19th Feb '05, 3:04pm No, I've made swashbucklers before and their hp is like that of normal thief: d6+con modifier (to a max of 2). So with the max hp per level you should get 8 hp. Means your mod is probably faulty, although I've noticed tob screwing up hp when importing chars. Fault might be in tob.
Koki Sat, 19th Feb '05, 4:59pm Reinstalled mod - 6HP.
Changed difficulty to easiest - still 6HP!
Looks like I'll have joy of installing 11CD's again D:
[Edit]I have tracked down the problem to Tutu Fixpack Core Bugfixes. Woe is me, as I can't use it then :(

The Shaman Mon, 21st Feb '05, 5:57pm Yeah... at any rate unless any mod kicks in there is no point whatsoever in raising a thief's constitution over 16. You just have to remember that you are a swashbuckler, not a berserker.
Koki Tue, 22nd Feb '05, 4:58pm ...you're right. I shouldn't. Even though I am NOT playing swashbuckler - that's just the class which was 'closest to what I wanted', 18 Str and Con is too much.
Down to 16.
You weren't expecting this, eh? ;)
Shrikant Tue, 22nd Feb '05, 6:11pm If you think its a bug in the bugfixes and you want to rectify it, you can always use SK to give your SB the extra HP.
Koki Thu, 24th Feb '05, 2:37pm Ok, one more thing... is it just me(again) or Snares just desn't work in TuTu? I have skill at 80 already and haven't seen one laid since the beginning.
[Edit]Oh, and what does 'he can specialize in any weapon thief may use' mean? That I can put in 2 points or getit all the way to 5?

TheBard Fri, 25th Feb '05, 3:54am specialization is 2 pips... anymore is Mastery etc...
Ascendency-Down Tue, 15th Mar '05, 3:01am The problem is solved by Tutufix V13. Now non-fighter classes with CON 17 or higher start with the correct number of HP, too.
Koki Tue, 15th Mar '05, 1:57pm Indeed it did, as well the snares. I had some kind of ol' crappy version. So... move on, nothing to see here!
