I am just unable to import the items from BG1 to BGII SoA. Interesting, because I can import them to ToB normally, no problem.
I read that the items only appear when playing in multiplayer mode. Maybe with the char, maybe in the container near the picture in the other room (there is the key, and a golem).

Please help me!

Pause the game before the cutscene starts. Then, drop all your items. Whenever your character screams, you lose all the items on him. They never appear behind that portrait (except the pantaloons, hint, hint).

But it happens too fast.
Do you think that it can be paused?

There's a hack on SP in Subsection #1 of Editors, Hacks & Custom Characters that will allow you to keep all BG1 items on import.

You have a second or two while the screen is black. If I wanted to do that, it wasn't that hard. Once the loading bar gets filled, and the screen changes, hit the spacebar fast.

If you can't hit it quickly enough, then try the hack Tal mentioned.
