I finally have my Paladin at level 9 and he can cast spells.
But is there no wisdom spell bonus as there is for Clerics/Druids!?
Why not? They are from the same spell pool right?
This question would apply to Rangers as well but with Minsc there is no worry of a wisdom bonus.

Wisdom doesn't have any effect on paladin and ranger spells in Baldur's gates.

Oh Darn... :(
Does that apply to low wisdom spell failure too?

I`m fairly sure that higher wisdom = more spells for Clerics, Druids *and* Paladins. :)

At least my cavalier didn't get any bonus spells, although he had WIS 16. I think that rangers and paladins don't have low wisdom spell failure (well, Minsc never failed to cast spells  )

No, not *and* paladins :(
High wisdom makes absolutely no class-specific difference and this sucks and sucks a lot.
My Cavallier has now 22 wisdom and has the same amount as he would if he had 13 only. So if a player is not roleplaying the protagonist or only wanted bonus spells when assigning high wisdom, he then had better spend the points on bg2 prefered arguments :(
