What's up with that?

I take it that it is part of BG2's AI to make shop keepers non-responsive if you didn't buy and sell from them the last time you talked to them.
But this is ridiculous!!!
If I go rest at an Inn will this clear things up?
But I need to talk to an Inn Keeper to rest!

I never noticed that, sometimes I accidentally talked to one and did nothing. But they still talked to me afterwards. Maybe its your reputation? Or a bug.

This happened to me, I had a reputation of 20 and all the normal people (Shop keepers, Saemon Havarion etc.) ca't talk to me, something about the object being busy.

That is a bug (the newest ToB patch fixes it)
