Thanks to everyone who helped with my last request on this Cloakwood Mines Question, but my difficulty is that I can't get past those damn Battle Horror monsters, is there a trick I may have missed or what.
Any help is truly appreciated

Its not really a trick, but they arrive after a trap is tripped. If you can remove the trap you remove the horrors. I was never able to defeat both the horrors and the mage myself. I left and got Safana and came back to do the job without any traps.

I didn't know you could avoid the battle horrors. I can't even remember the trap. I'm satarting again for the 2nd time and I haven't reached Cloakwood yet. I'll try disabling the trap.
I managed to kill the horrors the first time using the wand of lightning. It was pretty tough. I had two character using bows with +1 arrows, my main fighter (-4 armor) engaging the horrors in close combat and my mage using the lightning wand on them. The lightning wand does a lot of damage. So I manged to beat the horrors without taking too much damage. I'm sure there are other ways to beat them. Try summoning monsters. That should help a lot.

Using the potions that make you very quick (donīt know the English name) helps a lot... I wouldnīt try to remove the trap because those battle horrors give you quite a lot of XP.

Guess you mean Oil of Speed.... and indeed some monster summoning so you don't get the punches...

A cleric with the "Wand of Heaven" ie. Flame Strike works ok too. Have your fighters use Oil of Speed and one of the Giant Strength potions.
"Lightning Bolts" are dangerous indoors, just like those damned Exploding Arrows...be sure of your distance before using.
The ep value of the Battle Horrors is well worth the risk of duking it out with them, so don't disarm the trap if you want the ep.

I found that if you cast dispel magic on them, they can't kill you (mind you they can still render you unconscious)!

You just had to open this *and* the 'battlehorrors, can't beat them' topic, and then post this same message on them both?
