Are attacks per round (unaffected by haste or other hasting ability) capped? I seem to remember it being said somewhere that it is capped to five. Is this true?

But I think you can get 10 attacks with the Great Whirlwind HLA... Volsung Sat, 26th Apr '03, 3:43pm Yes, I suppose it's true. Check the manual. Laches Sat, 26th Apr '03, 7:29pm They are capped, but, I believe you can get 5 per round without the use of Imp. Haste iirc. I seem to recall my old f/t using a set up of shortsword of backstab in his main hand + kundane in the offhand for the extra attack and this resulting in 5 attacks per round eventually at the right level. Sephiroth Sat, 26th Apr '03, 9:29pm If I'm remembering right,Monks at high levels get 5 attacks, too. Gothmog• Sat, 26th Apr '03, 9:33pm Normaly attacks/round are capped at 5. With haste you get an extra attack always resoulting in max 6 attacks. Improved haste doubles your attacks to max of 10 (if base is 5). Remember that haste doesnt work with improved haste so there are only 3 options: haste, I. haste, G. whirlwind. An interesting thing would be combining improved haste with greater whirlwind to get 20 attacks per round  Too bad it doesnt work as GW gives you I. haste effect as well ;) ArrynMorgerim Sun, 27th Apr '03, 2:31pm Melf's minute meeors + imp. haste give 10 attacks iirc. Spelladonna Wed, 30th Apr '03, 2:03pm I think if you use any type of dart you can get up to 10 attacks/round also with improved haste. Gothmog• Wed, 30th Apr '03, 6:46pm AFAIK darts give you at least 3 attacks per round. Combined with I.haste gives 6. Perhaps with more proficiency you could get 5 attacks normaly and then 10 with I.haste. Never without proficiecny :( |
