I've never played SoA-ToB and picked up Sarevok. I'd like to do it now. Here's a party I came up with to see me through to the Pocket Plane:
Me - a specialist mage (I haven't decided except NOT A CONJURER!)
Jaheira
Anomen
Yoshimo/Imoen
Mazzy

Yes? No? Maybe? Other ideas?

I'd take Minsk with me, at least until I can get Mazzy.

Your party already has everything you need, so perhaps just use the 6th slot for temporary NPCs that you pick up while on their quests (Nalia, Korgan, Valygar, etc.) ?

Sarevok is better than Mazzy, you could replace if you want.

Try the Wild Mage.

Looks fine, has something of everything. And the 5 will be more powerful without the XP being divided among 6. Be sure to hold to some equipment that you might want to save for Sarevok. The Soul Reaver +4 comes to mind.

Armor of the Hart +4, Boots of Speed, Balduran's Helm, Gauntlets of Weapon Expertise...Deathbringer Assaults rock! :evil:

The party config has changed somewhat with the release of Tsujatha version 10. :love:

SoA -
*Me! ( Multi Mage/Thief)

Then when I get to ToB I'll just pick up Sarevok and continue on from there. I don't really wana take another character through SoA though because of the experience that I'll then lose when I get rid of them for Sarevok.

In fact, I'd recommend dropping Jaheira as well...she's an MC character, and she sucks up a ton of XP with no returns after lvl 14 druid. Depends on whether you're going to be using her druid only spells THAT much...and forget romancing her when you've got Viconia!! :love:

Jaheira gets no more XP than other party members and she has quests which give out plenty of XP and nifty items (RoW, Harper Pin, etc.). She not any worse as a multiclass than $'s M/T, who would suck up as much XP as you say Jaheira does. :D

My party's doing okay. I'm stuck with choices of needing magic weapons to complete certain quests.

That looks like a good party to take to ToB. Jaheira did just fine for me -- she still gains HLA's at her fighter level-ups. A couple of recommendations:

Have Imoen give a piece of her soul (opens a good dialog later).
Save Soul Reaver, The Wave, AND the Silver Sword for Sarevok (he rocks with the Silver Sword).
