View Full Version : Problems With The Graveyard in Chapter 6...

Basically, for some reason, the Graveyard district hasn't changed in chapter 6. The door I used to enter Bodhi's lair in Ch 3 is still open, the exit is unopenable. Bodhi didn't steal Aerie but more importantly (and game stoppingly) the Vampire's Lair is empty. No Vamps, no Drizzt and co, no knights, no monsters at all. Obviously this is a bit of a bugger.

Now I can only assume that one of my all-too-many mods has done this and I've got a big list of which ones isn't doing it, as I've completed the game with them on before. I am fairly sure it'll be an NPC mod that is the cause, but I don't know enough to be certain. So I'll post the list of mods in order of installation, as best as I can remember (with SoA on the ones I've completed Shadows of Amn with before) and keep my fingers crossed that someone can help me.

I really doubt it is what I'm going to suggest but I'll throw it out there anyway (which means, basically ignore it).

But in unpatched games, sometimes if you didn't go directly to the Graveyard after meeting Drizzt, the game didn't react correct. I would guess there is someway to trigger it with the CLUAConsole, I just don't know how. Sorry.

What a lot of mods :)

I presume you've played the game without any mods and another time with a couple of mods installed?

Sounds like a conflict of mods reacting with the same NPCs or variables. Or possibly just a bug in the game.

I can only suggest that you check a save before you try entering the graveyard and see if it works when you try again. If it doesn't then you could try sending me the zipped up save file if you want (e-mail should be in my profile) I have BG2 and all installed so could take a peek after school today.

Also check the journal that it is set to Chapter six and that the entries are updated there. If a journal update doesn't appear in the Chapter Six section but appears elsewhere then it could be a glitch setting the wrong chapter.

Maybe someone else can come along with something more useful however :)

Played a few times without mods, because back then I didn't know there was any. And once or twice with just a few. But as I am without internet access on the pc I play on, I wanted to get as many as possible on one disc and install them at once. In hindsight, it does seem like a bad idea.

Anyway I'll check the save and journal, I'm fairly sure the journal is on chapter 6 but you never know.
