God's Lonely Man

Hey,
I hope this is the right place to post. I'm posting here because I want to try out Throne of Bhaal first.
Anyway, here's my question: :D
What files are needed for maximum enjoyment for Icewind Dale 1 and 2 and Baldur's Gate: Throne of Bhaal?
Someone gave me these awesome games as a gift, told me there were mods and kits, etc. Well, I want it all! :D
Your assistance is MUCH appreciated.
Thanks.

My only advice is that for Throne of Bhaal you ought to have Shadows of Amn ;)

For a first run through, get the games patched. You can find most of what you'll want/need here (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/index.php), just look on the right side for what game you want to find patches and mods for.

The games themselves give maximum enjoyment! I did download some minor tweaks. Like a 5star weapon rule readjustment, just to make it more like the REAL rules.
Rule adjustment was something I was wanted to be perfect, BG2 really focuses on 'balance' which is BS because it's not a multiplayer game.
For IWD2 if you like monks, theres a really nice Monk Animation tweak so the Monks kick instead of stab with an invisible dagger, I think that is fairly essential.

I would do the first run-through patched but unmodded. That way, you essentially get the original experience. After your first run-through, mod the heck out of 'em. :)

I played all the vanilla games mentioned, patched of course but that was it. Then I used mods. Yep, I agree with BlckDeth.

Maybe install Bg2 Fixpack and TweakPack. They make it less irritating in some ways (like fix many bugs and let you stack lots of arrows etc).
But in general, I would keep it vanilla.
