Okay...in the Umar Hills that nutty wizard built a golem with the mimic blood obtained for him. In the Planar Sphere there's a golem machine...all these books and loose pages around Athkatla saying how to build different golems. Am I clutching at straws here or is there someway to actually build a golem?

If there is, I'll take two in adamantine, and a lovely shade of blue!!

well.. i cant remember but i actually think that you can summon one.. im not sure and i cant check cause i accidently uinstalled BG2, and there's a scratch in my cd 3

lol, nope, I'm afraid you can't.

YOu can shapeshift into a golem with the lvl9 spell and that's about it

You can create a golem with the console though and press ctrl+q to get it in your party.

You might be confusing the "collecting pages" for SOMETHING IN TOB. I have edited this post and that's all I'm going to say. I was just attempting to clear up a possible confusion with the subject. Didn't mean to spoil.. although It wasn't really much of a spoiler.

And you can actually get an armor so you looks like an adamintine golem, with an AC -8 .. or something i can't remember (that's in ToB)

I was just curious cos of all the pages lying around. :) Being a mage, I get the Planar Sphere as a strong hold, so I have a Golem Microwave and nothing to build. Heck my furnaces could probably power Nalia's keep and most of Athkatla! ;)

That CTRL-Q get-a-golem-in-the-party sounds good. But I do like the shape change spell...kick-butt mages, hah!

Reading all the "Trouser" threads I think I understand it as you need a pair of trousers from each of BG, SoA and ToB, and a weapon smith turns it into a -10 AC suit of armour with 5% magic res. and makes you look like a golem. THe final touch to a great Keldorn. :)

Whatever happens in ToB beats me. And I really, really don't care for it. Even if you could get golems, dragons, demiliches and god knows what else in your party. :mad::flaming:

There is no chance you can legally get Golem of your own in SoA and that's it!

The Plannar Machine will create a golem when you find all pieces, that golem will become yours if you get the Sphere as your Stronghold, but you'll never be able to get that golem outside.

I hope this ends ToB spoilers already!
