View Full Version : Looking for a Mod...
Gregor Sat, 25th Mar '06, 1:46am Anyone know where I can find the Circle Mod? It sounds...interesting. Alas, the links I found for it are broken...anyone know where I can find it?
Side note: just watched the amusing Cloakwood Squares mod. Highly recommend it.
Andyr Sat, 25th Mar '06, 1:55am It may well still be listed on http://modlist.pocketplane.net --if it isn't there or that's where you got the broken links from then I don't know whether it'd still be up anywhere. It was a bad-taste joke mod, so I'd not worry too much if you can't find it. Pretty funny, though. :)
Gregor Sat, 25th Mar '06, 2:17am Nah, it's not there. The SQUARE mod is, but the Circles seems to have been removed... :(
Ofelix Sat, 25th Mar '06, 2:22am By the by, care to describe what this mod actualy do? Because I certainly don't know.
Gregor Sat, 25th Mar '06, 2:40am Well...without getting too graphic, and bearing in mind that I've never actually SEEN it and am only going by what I've HEARD, the mod consists of a bit of dialogue and a bunch of the guy NPC's getting into a circle and... relieving tension.
Ofelix Sat, 25th Mar '06, 2:47am Something is VERY wrong when people took the times to get this done. :whoa:
Gregor Sat, 25th Mar '06, 2:57am I can't say I completely disagree with you, but... a little tasteless humor never hurt anyone! :p
kuemper Sat, 25th Mar '06, 3:43am If you search around in the PPG fora, you might find a proper link. I was able to find the infamous Kelsey phone call mod there, too. ;)
Andyr Sat, 25th Mar '06, 8:13pm Well...without getting too graphic, and bearing in mind that I've never actually SEEN it and am only going by what I've HEARD, the mod consists of a bit of dialogue and a bunch of the guy NPC's getting into a circle and... relieving tension. That was pretty much along the right lines.
Balle Sun, 26th Mar '06, 8:46pm what do the guy npc's do in the square mod?
kuemper Sun, 26th Mar '06, 11:13pm Cloakwood Squares is a takeoff of Hollywood Squares tv game show ( original Squares (http://www.classicsquares.com/) and new Squares (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0138968/)), using NPCs as the guest stars. Keldorn acts as the host and Minsc and Boo are the center square.
Gregor Mon, 27th Mar '06, 4:33am @ Kuemper
I think he meant the Square mod, not Cloakwood Squares.
@ Balle
The Square mod is, apparently, the female version of the Circle mod, if you can imagine such a thing.
Edit: Fixed Kuemper's name so he doesn't eat my soul.
Felinoid Mon, 27th Mar '06, 5:04am No luck finding it (it looks like it's been removed), but I may have found people who might have it. If you look at this semi-old thread on the PPG fora (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php?PHPSESSID=7123edb8d552ea190d3bfc532aeef7 67&topic=20761.25), it looks like Bex and Regullus have it. You might want to contact one of them.
Ofelix Mon, 27th Mar '06, 6:09am Fixed Kuemper's name so he doesn't eat my soulToo late mate, Kuemper's a SHE didn't you see her enormous... Brea...Scimitar?
Gregor Mon, 27th Mar '06, 7:18am @ Fel:
Thanks!
@ Ofelix:
Yikes! Lathander protect me!
Taluntain Mon, 27th Mar '06, 3:02pm Just out of curiosity, which modders are responsible for those two mods?
kuemper Mon, 27th Mar '06, 4:55pm Jason Compton was involved with both afaik.
Felinoid Mon, 27th Mar '06, 7:57pm Compton made Circle, but I think someone named Ggib Eht (possibly the same person as The Bigg) made Square.
Rockem sockem robots Tue, 28th Mar '06, 12:01pm Newb qeastion :( . I've download the square mod jsut wandering how i load it? Sorry i haven't played bg2 in a yr, kind of forgot alot of the basics.
Felinoid Tue, 28th Mar '06, 7:21pm Assuming it's WeiDU, just extract everything in the archive into your root "BGII - SoA" folder and then run the Setup*whatever*.exe. WeiDU's installer will guide you through the rest.
