I've played at least a dozen games now and I can't find anyone to roleplay and solo who is not way too powerful.
Here are classes I find interesting to role play as.
Kensai: About halfway through can kill most enemy's with 3 hits or 2 critical Strikes
Swashbuckler: Can Use Any Item and after the inital hard part of becoming powerful gets insane ac, damage and thac0.
Blade: This pc is especially fun from an Role play view because he can act and sing (even if they are known to be very poor at it, at least compared to the normal Bard) and his high lore means you can justify walking away from any encounter in the game including Kangaxx. As for power thats been covered enough.
Sorcerer: Ha ha ha, bang, poof, Timestop. Every one dies, need I say more? For all this PC's power you might as well Ctrl-Y most of the enemys you come across to save the trouble of killing them.
Archer: Actually quite fun for a while, but I got bored.
Cavalier: This guy simply rocks with the ease of use mod and Grand mastery, nice damage, saves, MR and AC, but the LG Paladin attitude is too straight forward to be very interesting.
R/C: this guy's like a Paladin/Cleric with mage (stoneskin) and Druid spells.
F/M: I don't think I'll ever see the end of ToB with this beastly character.
There are probably more I cannot think of now but these ones are far too easy even if they appeal from a Role Play prespective.
So should I just download some encounter enhancements, and/or quit soloing and give teamwork a go? because games with no challange get boring very fast just like ones that are immpossible to beat.
As for interesting roleplay characters I define one as.
An appropriate class for a Child of Bhaal, vague but I can't find a better way to phrase this.
Someone that would have a decent lore.
Someone that's not too overpowered, if I play Tactics or Ascension there is alway's the F/M to go back to but even with those mods a lot of the encounters can be pitifuly easy.
I'm not sure if I've included everything but if anyone is confused I'll try to clear things up a bit.
