I've just recently started up on BGII again but has encountered a small/huge problem. My problem is this:

I'm romancing Jaheira and is currently at the Dermin Courtierdale Quest. Dermin has appeared the first time, but after sleeping outside (at De'Arnise Hold which should work) for about 10 days he has not yet appeared for the second time as he should have done after 6 days.
I want to complete this quest before going to Spellhold and risk Dermin to be forced to appear so I don't have Jaheira while on Spellhold and until I get out from the Underdark.

I've checked all the variables and the guide, as well as trying to spawn/create Dermin (which I can't), but nothing helps. I've even installed the latest upgrade without any change.

Need some advice on this as the Jaheira romance is quite long and there is allmost nothing to do after exiting the Underdark.

PS: I've played the entire romance before where it all worked (also with the same patch installed), except for one standard dialogue which I had to skip because it wouldn't show up.

Welcome to the club. I've had the Jaheira romance bug with no chance of success trying all the variables etc as well. The thing sucks, and I'm afraid that depending on the circumstances, there may be nothing to do about it.

I found that doing the Jaheira quests in the Umar hills helps stop any bugs. Try there. Even though Jaheira is the only one that continues in the De'Arnise keep even that doesn't always work - if you went to spell hold Dermin would appear in chapter six - Jaheira would stay with you, romances are on hold during Spellhold and Ust Natha (which is actually an incomplete name)

Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one with that problem. Do you know wether or not the Dermin Quest continues when you've had the romancedialogue after which he should spawn if the quest is not completed yet?

Also, another problem, that I don't hope will occur anymore, is the dialogue where Jaheira says (when starting the dialogue): "I... I need to speak with you for a moment." The other times I've played the game and was romancing Jaheira I'd complete the Dermin Quest normally, but this dialogue never showed up, so I had to skip it completely. I couldn't even (CLUA)force the dialogue to begin. Anyone else who has encountered that?
