I've had Jan in my party for over 100 days now and he still hasn't started his quest. When I got him in my party, I covered for him (said we were talking about the weather or somesuch). Now, I want to move on in my game, but I don't want to have Jan's friend pop up and tell him to book it back home while I'm in the middle of something else (had Nalia give me an ultimatum about going to her keep just as Jaheira got cursed and Anomen's sister died. It was a mess.) so is there any way to spawn Jan's friend? I know people have had to spawn the assassins in the Planar Sphere. Could this be something like that? Or could something else be affecting things? My char is a half-elf, has a rep of 18 and is romancing Viconia (I'm thinking I'm about to lose her from my party because of how she's always calling me a fool, so if she'd the problem she wont be much longer)and I'm neutral good. I've got ToB, the new patches and all the Balderdash fixes that worked with ToB. Any and all help would be appreceated.

eh, forget jan, steal his items and ditch him lol, ^^ romance is so much better, then just go up and kill a couple peasants ^^ to lower your rep, should make her happy again lol *evil laugh*

Maybe you have to complete some other quests in the game to activate their quests, like with Keldorn, you have to do the Temple Quests to activate his family quests.

Having Viconia in your party does not affect the Jan quest.

It should happen after having him in your party for 2 weeks of game time.

Hmm maybe you could CLUA him but I don´t know the name of his cousin :-( .

the solution is easy. SK him. in shadowkeeper there is a variable that you can change to make people talk to you. i believe if you change that variable the quest will start shortly after

Well I had jan in my party for over 100 days straight, and he still hadn't started his quest so I did what lionhead said and used the console to spawn Beeloo (his cousin or something) and thankfully the quest took off from there. Thanks for the help people!
