i have bg2 & ToB installed and am playing SoA -neither Aerie nor Jan can use wand of lightnings -i'm sure they have charges -have couple wands
when in battle and wand is in item slot i click on wand then click enemy target, but all i see is the gold cast spell symbol over enemy ..when i click on enemy it counts down from 5 in tiny little number inside the cast spell symbol ..after 5 clicks it be comes greyed out (as in used/casted already) -but nothing happens
this only happened with wand of lightning
if anyone knows why this is occurring/what can solve -please let me know -thx in advance
ps: i sent email to support@bioware.com and haven't rec'd. any reply -do the developers even care?

Ah...I never had any problems with it. Just click on the enemy as many times as required depending on the amount of charges. If that doesn't work try clicking on multiple targets.

Was the enemy by and chance invisible? If you was you cannot target him with spells, nor wands.

I have been having the same problem with them. Even if you are attacking a "normal", as in seen, creature. It will just count down to zero and nothing happens. Please help us zap the badys.

It can be hard to use the wand of lighting properly. I also had problems with it. Try time your clicks and and wait after the last one. Dont click after it is greyed out!
It shoots five bolts a time.

As a spell maker master, the effect used by the wand of lightning is the coolest, and I use it often. You noticed the little 6 in the lower right corner of the magic cursor when you use wand of lightning? that means you can target up to six creatures. You can target less, but you need to pause, and click semi-slowly. make sure the cursor counts down. due to the programing, if the counter does NOT count down, the spell wont fire.

As a side note, I used this effect on a custom wand with a fireball spell. 5 fireballs, simtaniously, all in different directions. puts spell triggers to shame.
