View Full Version : Is there a "good aligned" dwarf NPC mod out there?

I'm bothered by the fact that a good aligned dwarf NPC was never in BGII. Dwarves are a staple of D&D, and the only dwarven NPC is an evil guy, while the "standard" dwarf is Lawful Good in alignment.

Don't think so. Does the original AD&D book really say that majority of those munchers are lawful good? :hmm:

I am sure I saw a good Dwarf NPC somewhere. I just can't remember where. I can't think of his name, and I don't remember what class he was, but he definitely had a wolf with him. I think the wolf acted like another party member, though he may have just been a sort of companion.

Sure. The darkest day mod adds Yeslick (sp) into the game. The dwarf from cloakwood mines? Anyway, he's LG iirc.

He was a MC Fighter / Cleric, wasn't he? Ah the days of BGI. He was one of my favorite characters.

Yep, Yeslick is a Ftr/Clr. He was always weilding that warhammer that does lightning damage for me.

I wasn't thrilled with his (original) soundest, but I'll bet they made it pretty cool in this mod. I did really like the character, though. Maybe I'll DL TDD now.

Thats one thing that disapointed me about BG2, the lack of a "good" dwarf. I would've loved to take a dwarf give him a shield and an axe and send him to mow down enemies. Minsc works just as good, but I would've loved to have a dwarf.

You can always alter Korgan's alignment via shadowkeeper...

... or start a multiplayer session and assign a good dwarf to your party...

@Takara

That's an idea but it might be a bit strange to have a lawful good dwarf threatening/killing his fellow npc's ;)

Or take the helmet of opposite allignment off the chaos knight in Durlags tower and bring it into BG2. (Hey it works for me, or rather hopefully will work for me when I start picking up the evil charactors and doing their side quests.)

Always wondered if it'll actually change anything other than their reaction to reputation (if indeed that)

I don't have Shadowkeeper.

The Good dwarf NPC mod was the Krondor mod - it used to be at Forgotten Wars, but I think it moved, and was not finished.

Aside from that, I think that Yeslick in TDD was the only one.
