I d/l the BG1 NPC voice pack compiled by Kevin Murphy from SP the other day, so I could have more than the stock 9 voice sets to choose from. I really liked Jaheira from BG1 and wanted to use her for my PC stalker.
While choosing the voice during character creation, I was happily clicking and listening to Jaheira when it started playing her BG2 romance banters. :help:
I don't have trouble with the other voice sets, but I have not installed Imoen, Edwin, Viconia or Minsc. I picked Branwen's sound set for my PC and it's really odd to here a ranger shouting about Tempu/os. :D
EDIT: Put Viccy in and got the same with her.

Anyone going to tell me what's the deal or must I stew in my own juices? :skeptic:

Try renaming all the sound files and restarting the game.

Mmmm, stewed kuemper. :yum: :shake:
I really don't know what to say. If you downloaded the one from the BG1 section, they don't have anything past 'w', so you shouldn't be getting anything at all for anything from x, y, z, _, or 0-9. Maybe the engine is filling it in with random stuff. Either way, you really shouldn't be using BG1 soundsets in a BG2 game; there just aren't enough soundfiles.
If you want to sound like Jaheira, pick up the BG2 NPC soundsets here. (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/dl.php?s=BG2&f=BG2/BG2soundsets-All16NPCs.zip)

@Tal - I'm too computer ignorant to change the filenames *and* have the game run properly. There'll be a great chance of me messing everything up. :heh:
@Fel - Yes, but BG2 Jaheira is even pushier than her predecessor.

In that case, mix and match from the two to create your own "Jaheira Soundset ReMix". Sound files are ridiculously easy to change around; just don't change the extension (the three letters after the dot; probably .wav in this case). Everything you need to know is in sndlist.txt in the Sounds folder. (You do know how to rename files, right? ;) )
But if you're really so utterly scared that you're going to screw something up, then send me a list of which ones you want from each soundset (what number they come up when you're clicking the 'Play' button, as in how many clicks from the start) and I'll rename them for you and send you your remix. It'd probably take me less than five minutes to do. :heh:
