When I (and my party) kill the master of thralls in the astral prison, the game very often crashes.
Has anyone experienced this, and if so, can you recommend a solution? Thankes in advance. :)

Try to download Sorcerer's Place fix patch.

That fixpack doesn't fix this issue.
The possible solution? Reinstall the game, make it full installation and apply the official patch.
Also, when you uninstall the game, make sure you delete the BG2 subfolders called cache and override that will probably remain on the hard drive.

Well I don't wan't to uninstall my current game and I've applied the official patch. I think it may have something to do with the installing of ToB, and using the ToB official patch. However I made a seacond cautious attempt and somehow got through it, but you get this urge to smash something, when you just kicked the living daylight out of the Master and the game suddenly crashes. :mad:

Hmmm, in that case please just try with deleting all files from the BG2 subfolder called cache. Don't delete that folder, just the files inside. Then restart the game.
It will force the game to reload files again.

BTW - reinstalling does not remove saved games, nor does uninstalling the game (I keep my lovely games forever ^_^)

Have any MODs come into play here?

IIRC there is no mod that adds something to Planar Prison area. Of course I could be wrong, but...

They might be a MOD that changes haer'dalis or something, or overides any neccessary dialogues.
