In my current game, I've decided to do a few things differently. The major one is to see how far I can get without a reload, and among the minor ones is to change the order in which I usually do quests, and make use of some NPCs that I normally don't.

This time around, I decided to take Nalia with me through the D'Arnise Keep, and probably at least until her father's funeral, which I've never experienced, as I don't usually take Nalia. This meant I did the Keep much earlier than I usually do, and I'd forgotten how annoying Trolls can be to an 8th level party. I got through everything just fine until the battle with Torgal, when, due to some mistakes on my part, Jaheira was killed. Normally, I'd reload, fix those mistakes, and move on, but I decided to stick with my resolve to avoid reloads, so back to Athkatla we went, with the Temple of Illmater our first stop. We went to the Temple, and had poor Jaheira resurrected. It was at that precise moment that Habib showed up to throw his coins into the Temple. He hit Jaheira with them, and the poor woman died once again. Fortunately, we were flush with cash, and another large donation got her back for us again :angel:

He's managed to kill quite a few players from what I've read on this board.

Poor Habib one time on a game of mine threw his scimitar and hit Yoshimo, and Yoshima, Jan and Viconia all returned fire and killed him. I felt bad so I had to reload.

I always kill that :nuts: whenever I ever find it.
Always targets the person with the least HP. :mad:

Been there, seen that, and were equally pissed off too.

Yoshimo and Viconia hitting him back, I can understand. But Jan???

He's never killed anyone in my party. Though he always seems to go for Jaheira, for some reason.

How could you!? I could never let my precious die like that! I nearly killed Viconia for insulting her.

Who is Habib?

He is a guy you meet in Atkathla, generally at night. If you are near the exits of the slums or docks you might meet him.
Other than that he generally turns up in the temples in the slums and waukeen's promenade.

I think in the temples he throws a coin at you, right?

I believe he's not trying to target you in the temple, that's just how he makes his donation, as he's afraid to enter.

I have everyone kill him. It's self defense!

I usually kill the bugger, but it depends on my party, if its not in character then I don't. Otherwise, he's a dead bugger :D

I say we do the only humanitarian thing we can and elect the :nuts: village idiot to the highest office in Amn, just like the mythical city Acerima in the land of SAU did, you know the one [CHARNAME] studied in Candlekeep? After all, Athkatla could use his great wisdom and maybe they could find an excuse, like Magic of Mass Destruction, to invade corrupt Neverwinter and liberate the oppressed people. :shake: Hey, it worked for Acerima!

That guy threw 20gp at my PC in the temple.
I didn't mind the few HP loss because I had the ring.
And he hit Valygar in the head with his simitar.

I vaguely remember seeing something about getting scimitars in your inventory. Or am I mixing him up with someone else? Anyway I've never gotten the scimitars.

All I know is I just keep laughing at Valygars remarks even though I can't recall them off-hand.

Hmm, is he yellow?
Because i met a person like him too, crazy, but later in the game, he keeps returning too give some information about random things.
I can be wrong with this.
