I just purchased Baldur's Gate II and the expansion. Should I go ahead and install the expansion now? Or should I wait until completing the original game before installing the expansion?

Definately install the expansion now. You won't have to worry about the experience cap at the end of SOA if you install TOB.

Thanks! I thought I read somewhere that you can mess things up by going into some expansion areas before you are supposed too. Also, does it tweak the UI? Is that what the screenshot of the day is from?

Thank goodness you came here. Install ToB, and immediatly make your way to the BG II section of sorcerers.net and download the latest patch (this is EXTREMLY necsesary(sp?) if you are using Windows XP, because there is a HUGE bug in the game without it (namely, people wont talk to you)

Also, ease-of-use mod is pretty good to have, but perhaps you want to familiarize yourself to the game first
