OK this may not sound right to some, but can I use the Shadowkeeper to change some NPC kits and classes? Will it cause many bugs or interactions will still be possible?

I am asking this as I want to try different classes but also want some interaction. (NO full MP playing, it becomes like IWD then.)SO I want to edit my NPCs a little bit.

For example, what about changing Minsc to a Monk? I will not change stats, only weapon proficiencies and class will be changed and he will be a cool monk who can actually talk with his miniatur giant space hamster? I will have OVERSIGHT mode which adds cool beyond words HLAs to monks, so it will be really fun!

But I am afraid if it can cause some bugs, cancel interactions, or crash the game? (of course it will be a little lame when Minsc mentions rangers but still it promises to be fun?)

Yes, I agree that changing the famous NPCs radically like this may not seem right or ethic, afterall we all loved (or hated) them by the way they are. Still, it is only for experimenting different classes and continued fun of NPC interactions.

What are your thoughts? Do you have your ideas about class/kit changes to some NPCs as well? I would like to hear them...

It won't change character interactions. You can do it with Shadowkeeper fine.

However, I would raise an eyebrow at making Minsc a Monk when his current class seems to fit him well, and Monks should be Lawful while Minsc is CG.

I changed Viconia to a multiclass Cleric/Thief once (yes, I know elves aren't meant to be able to choose that class) and it was quite fun.

^Where is that mod? Can somebody give me a link please? I will really appreciate that. I guess it is better than editing my NPCs via SK and risking a nasty bug.
